Im not sure what type of loan you have but if you had a redraw facillity couldnt you redraw on your current townhouse such that the rent would keep it CF+ (say 140K) and use the redrawn money towards your new home. That way your rental property loan repayments would be tax deductable? Not sure if this can be done but just a thought.
Westan I think that you are wrong regarding the need to fight comment. The reason Neo needs to fight Agent smith in the second film is that Agent smith is starting to realise that he too can bend the rules of the Matrix. That is why Neo must fight him because they are begining to come on the same par! I saw the third one last night and although exceptionally good it was a slight let down from what I thought they could have done. A lot is explained in the final chapter and needs time to digest but I still loved it.
Hey C2,
That would be excellent if you could do that for me. Most importers over here say that a 93 Supra is around the 1 million yen mark but from what you are saying that sounds like the are winding us up!! If I could get a 98 for 25K AUD I would be laughing!
Andrew how did you go about getting finance for your import? Or did you have the cash?
Cheers
Wilko
PS C2 a 93 model 300ZX over here varies from about 24 -30K depending on K’s TT or NT. SO you got an absolute bargain!![8D]
Hey C2,
Im pretty keen on a RZ model around 96-97 or later. Prices over here are around 35K upwards. I may have to wait awile since I got a quote on insurance the other day which made me think that I can wait until Im 25 to get one.
George it is not only imports that are getting tired. Just look at all the rusted VB, VC, , XF and even EA’s that still are on the road. Some questions need to be asked when you can buy a brand new car for 14K but the registrars still let bombs like that get around!!
Once the car has passed compliance any modifications that is legal for other cars can be performed. Im pretty sure that the cars must have stock mags when being complianced but I think that exhaust mods are OK. Most importers state that you have to pay for the stock parts to be fitted for compliancing but you can keep the old parts from modifications, at least in SA. Anyway it has become a lot stricter that in was at the start of the year.
Andrew,
I think that now there is more issues to importing cars from Japan than at the start of the year. Im not sure but I think that you cant import them privately anymore or at least if you could you would be limited in how many. Since the 1st of May the new RAWS scheme means that to import cars for onselling you must be able to have support ie a workshop stocking the parts required for that vehicle. Since this new shceme has started it has been much harder for importers to get cars complianced. I know I have been looking for a Toyota Supra for some time now!!
I totally agree with you Andy good post! It just like looking for a good property you have to decide what is junk and what is usable. Different people have different methods, no one-person is totally correct!
Yeah I think that it is great. Good luck with the vac work I had some trouble getting some at the end of thrid year because I was a bit slack in applying but Im sure you’ll easy pick some up[]. Just found out that Im off to Kalgoolie in about 3 weeks time for 6 weeks. Might have to check out some +ve investments over there[8D][?]
Hey Chantell,
I work for Worley, a consulting company in Adelaide. There is an office in Melbourne if you are not keen to travel but check out the site http://www.worley.com.au and there is a graduates page on there with info of how to apply for vac work. I think that most application closing dates have been sorry! Maybe give it a try anyway.
Cheers,
Wilko

Comming from resgional SA I know all to well that most of the younger generation is moving to the city. I have relatives that have lived in Whyalla for years and there is so many properties on the market that have been for sale for a long time!!! The general consenses from people there is that the town is slowly dying. Port Lincoln, where my parents live, would have been a good place two years ago but now the median house price has almost doubled. Not too sure about SE SA… Hope this helps.
