    Hi All
I agree being held accountable for my goals and getting that little kick along when I need it will be great.
Also for me will be the networking as I am on this jounerny alone. My husband is not as keen.
So having others as interested as me will be fantastic.

    Hi Steve and members
I was left speechless this morning after reading some of the posts.
I am still trying to work out how such a great and exciting opportunity has been torn apart and twisted in so many different directions.
I for one am greatful to Steve and his team for putting this programme together.
The mentoring programme sounds fantastic so lets hear some possitive feed back about something that has the potential to change our lives.

    Hi JPMONTY
Firstly congradulations on realising we all have choices.
My light switch came on at one of Steve’s masterclass’s last December and I am still learning about the choices we have.
I resigned from my job 2 weeks later to follow my dreams of investing and to change my life.I was constantly complaining about how mundane life was and it wasn’t till that day I realised I had choices and that only I could change my life.
The journey so far has been amazing. It certainly isn’t easy as you are confronted with all sorts of issues both in your investing and your personal life.
Oh but what a journey. The things I am still learning about myself are at times very confronting although I have learnt these need to be addressed in order to move forward with my investing otherwise I seem to end up stuck and forgetting I have choices.
So I personally feel choices is a very important word in my journey.
Again congradulations and keep following your dreams and one day they will come true.
PS Enjoy the journey the good and the bad it’s all part it.

    Hi All
We have 2 family cars. One ais a rwally old 7 seater landcruiser we needed to carry our 5 kids around.(they all have their licences now). The other is a 1989 charade that I drive around everywhere. Not very flash but cheap to run.My kids want me to get a new car but I don’t want to go into debt for a new car I would rather use the money to keep investing.Besides it is hard to negotiate a good price for a house if you pull up in a BM or Merc.So for now I will keep buzzing around in my little charade.
    Have A Great day all

    Hi All
We have 5 children all of whom are still at home.Their ages are 16,18,2×20,22.Our 22 recently got engaged there is hope yet.I,m fairly new to investing but well on my way.So before I became so involved with investing I would have been keen to see them moving out.Now I,m still keen especially as now we have the boyfriends and girlfriends at our place most of the time but I have been educating them about property and their money. So if this means them being at home for a little longer I’m happy with that.As long as I can see they are working towards their goals and not just wasting their money. Our home is very busy and yes some times I wish they would move out so we could have some peace and quiet. Not sure if I could get used to the quiet. On second thoughts yes I could!Image cooking for only 2 not 7 or if all the girlfriends/boyfriends are here it’s normally 12.It’s a bit of a joke with family and friends that we have a revolving front door because their is always someone coming or going. One thing is for sure there is never a dull moment in this home.Oh well the more the merrier.

I went through the finance people associated with Property investing.com.I e-mailed and phoned them,Don’t just wait for them to contact you, be proactive and call them back.I found them fantastic to deal with.Yes I got the loan but even if I wasn’t successful I still would be very happy with them. They explore all the options avaiable. Just give them a call.

    Hi
Well I will be the odd one out here.I like nothing more than to put a movie, dvd or video on and get totally lost in it.Especially if I’m having a bad day.It really relaxes me.

    Hi
You could fly over to NZ.Do research before you go and choose the towns that fit with your plans.I feel you need to have a good knowledge of the areas you are going to invest and also meet some RE agents so when you come home they will keep you informed of the new listings. Most of the good properties don’t make it to the net. Also if your looking closer to home where ever that may be I have found hitting the pavement and visiting the RE offices the best way to find deals. This way they may also put you on their e-mail list for new listings.

    Hi Everyone
I am 41 and I will be financially free in five years.I do have a few speed humps to overcome. The biggest one is my partner, putting all the speed humps he can found in my way,BUT I am determined and I will get over them all.

    Hi jhopper
The property we have early access to is a desceased eastate. We could have asked for early settlment. With desceased eastates you need to make sure it has gone through probate court and this can take a while. You are right in saying by not settling early you are saving money if the vendor agrees to early access.I guess it depends on what people are comfortable doing.

    Hi Chris
We are in the middle of this process and had the early access clause added in to the contract. We pick the key up from the RE each morning and return it in the afternoon. We found this to be a win win situation and the vendor was very happy to agree using this method. We are going the other way as our property is vacant(deseased eastate)and we would like to get as much done as possible. So we can rent out soon after exchange. Our property is a complete reno bathroom, kitchen, carpets ect.We have the RE keep the vendor updated with each step just to make sure they are happy for us to do each stage.Especially with it being a deseased eastate.I think it is important to if using this method to remember there are real people on the other side of the deal. Also it makes them feel they still have control. Our solicitor advised us of the risk and said if anything goes wrong it is complicated to get your money back but not impossible. We have had the house insured and nothing was done till after cooling off.We have had our trades people in and will start the reno next week. Our settlement day is 16th July.I wiil keep you updated if you like as to any problems we occur as this is our first early access project. So yes I am a little nervous, but I am willing to give it a go.

    Hi All
If you were going to buy properties not live in them do a reno and sell before the 12 month period.I realise there is no CG discount would you then have to register yourself as a bussiness and pay GST and of course tax if it’s your only source of income.I have just finished a reno on a unit we have had for 2 years and I have just purchased a 3bed house to reno.I would love to keep doing this. Not sure whether to hold and rent out for 12months to get CG discount.Or keep buying and selling.Even though I’m paying more tax I’m still making money.Any thougts.
    Thankyou lisa.[biggrin][biggrin]

    Hi All
I am fairly knew to investing.Have you ever thought that Steve may just enjoy buying property. And if you find something in life you enjoy and you are passionate about and the bonus is you may make money. Why would you ever stop.I don’t think Steve needs to share everything with us.We need to get off our seats and do our own hard work finding thess great deals. That’s what the journey is all about.Sure what ever information Steve or Dave want to share I will always be ready to listen and learn.I also learn from the people on this forum.I think a little respect goes a long way.[biggrin][biggrin]

    Hi Jenny
As you know I have been to Tok and I really liked it.Seems to have some great opportunity there. It has really friendly people that would do anything for you, that’s if you take the time to get to know them.I think the town and some of the homes need a little TLC there lies your opportunity.I guess everyone has their own oppinion and we all look at things differently.Look forward to catching up soon Jen.
