Hey Guys for what it is worth – be careful. those ads have been running for months now and he only wanted 16 people to be on board and i know of seven people who have been accepted so i think it is just to get you in and sell some properties. He is looking at musswelbrook in the Hunter valley and the new off the plan homes are over priced. You can buy in the same development with the same houses and builder for a lot less.

He does seem genuine when you talk to him but i just question the whole millionaire apprentice scheme. I think the hunter region has a lot of merit but you just need to do your home work on value and not just take his word for it.

    Good luck!!

I Guess my criteria is fairly broad at this stage. Ideally i am looking for properties that are as close to nuetral or positively geared as possible in areas that should see some growth in the near future. I don't have my mind set on any one type of property (unit, house etc) just take each on their merits.

My price range is from $350k to $450k.

    Thanks for your help.

    Thanks Terry,

    Thanks for your reply.

From what i understand is that when you go to borrow money in the trust you give the personal guarentee and get the funds. You then need to set up another unit trust and approach another lender. You do not need to diclose the guarentee of the first loan unless asked and it will not show up on your personal tax records therefore you can borrow again and again each time setting up a new trust.

    Does this make any sense?

    Hey Moxi10,

Thanks for that extensive answer to my question. It sounds as though what i have been reading is correct. theer is a lot of other fairly major industries to back up the mining such as the power, equine, wine industries which gives a bit more comfort. I have secured a block in the eastbrooks link estate and will start building shortly. Do you think there is a high demand for fully furnished properties?
What do you feel a new 4 bedroom house would rent for?

    Thanks for your help.
