Sorry to dig up old posts. But what you’re saying is that there are potentially legal, banking or tax implications when paying off a lump amount (from personal funds) of a mortgage that is contained in a trust?
I was hoping to do this in order to use interest only or other loan options to minimise my outgoings (to ensure a positive flowing tr…[Read more]tobymorrison42 started the topic Finding an Accountant for Trust Structure in the forum Help Needed! 1 year, 5 months ago
Hi all,
I’m in the process of building my “dream team” of contacts and am completely stuck on finding an accountant that understands the ins and outs of using trusts to advance in property investing (mainly, increasing borrowing capacity) and is able to communicate concepts and strategies as well as help with questions and queries along the way.…[Read more]

So it’s all very…[Read more]

I was hoping for a bit more of an insightful discussion from the man himself than “If you can’t, you can’t. If you can, you can.” Shame. Thanks anyway Steve.

The issue of whether to buy my future property investments through a trust or in my personal name has been an ongoing debate for me for well over a month as I delve deep into the world of Australian Real Estate. After countless hours of reading the ATO website, listening to various experts in different forms of media, chatting with brokers and…[Read more]
