    Hi,

My take is that the reason you would go for a trust is in fact protection. The key to remember is that you control it, via a company that is limited to the value of $2.00 and you control the distribution of income/profit through the beneficiaries.

Additionally as I understand it, you also have the 50% GST deduction as you would an individual.

As for finanace, the fact that you would be the gaurantee on the loan leaves you in the same boat as an individual investing in there own name. The bonus is again protection, if you have 20% deposit, then you can get a first mortgage on the property, and not cross collateralise (cant spell).

Hope all that made sense my brain is a little squishy just came back from a Cold Chisel concert.

    Regards
    Simon

    Hi Brett,

You and Tiffany are on fire…. I was pretty convinced you were going to move forward quickly and pursue investing after we chatted on the way to the airport in the cab.

You have come up with excellent ideas and have been kind enough to share them with us all.

Well done and congratulations to you both.

    Hi Guys,

Could I suggest a ‘Newbie’ frequently asked question (FAQ)link. I think we need to appreciate that we were, or are, at a stage where we are information gathering and really have no idea what questions to ask and where to find the answers.

Those who were at the seminar discussed getting over our fears, I suggest for many one of those fears would be to show how little they know by posting what others would consider basic questions.

I think its important we keep helping as many as possible.

    Regards
    Simon

    Hi all,

Well the skeptic has had an about face.

Two fun filled days of inspiration, motivation, advice and most of all a new found empowerment to go forth and get into it… no excuses.

Go out there and find the opportunity, if we learned anything we learned that opportunities exist, and if think they don’t, find someone elses problem and solve it if you can. Create that win-win situation.

Soosh and Michael it was a pleasure meeting you and the best of luck with your wrap.

Thanks Steve and the team for a great weekend.

        Hi all,

I think it is a balance of both, you have to love what you do to be good at it. The reward is of course financial, as matter of course we would all like to be financialy independent.

I personally learned that good people, lead to good experiences in the market, thus you tend to want to become more involved, in tern passionate, and ultimately successful.

        Just a rookies 2 cents.
