I have just returned from a 1 month holiday up to QLD to Cape Tribulation. Spent a couple of nights on Hinchinbrook Island and went through the Ingham and Halifax areas.

It depends what your looking for. Do you want a positive/negative cash flow property ? I would check out the area for yourself and see if you think it would make a good investment.

As for me I don’t think that there is enough infrastructure at this point in time. It’s abit too quiet for me and you might have trouble getting tenants.

Agree with Tas Investor. Queenstown is like a ghost town.

I work in Sydney for a fund manager in a treasury operations role looking after liquidity needs of Commercial Property Trusts. Been at this role for 2 1/2 years.
