    Thanks Derek,

Just so I am clear about it, they won’t be liable for any CGT to the Federal govt but will be up for the stamp duty (to Mr Carr) if the land is sold after 1 July.

    Hi Bruce,

It’s very important to get a final inspection done before settlement if at all possible. I was taken for a ride by a couple of elderly gentlement (no, men) who assured me that the property would be left spotless and not to do a final inspection as they were packing up to leave and the place would be a mess.

It cost me many hours (as the property was not close by) and a few trips to the tip to get rid of all the rubbish that was left behind.

Sad to say I won’t be trusting people’s word for future purchases.[:(]

Yes, have heard good things abt the white knight paint for tiles, even on the floor. A real estate agent tld me a number of his clients have used it very successfully and it last a few years.

    Hi Anna,

I’m just wondering if you could email me any contacts you have for kitchen people up Hunter valley way. I’m hoping to refurbish a kitchen in a property I just bought and hope to flip it after. My email address is [email protected].

    Thanks.

    Hi Bill,

Really appreciate your tips. Can’t agree with you more that honesty is the best policy. Thinking of selling our house and considering whether to use agent(s) or sell privately.

Looking forward to part 2. [:)]

    Hi Muppet,

I have been looking at the posts on NZ in the treasure chest and following this as well and this seems great. Are you not interested in it for yourself? Would you mind if I went for it? Should I be wary abt anything in it?

Anyone else? Thanks so much too, for all your information, as well as Mini’s and Westan’s and others. There is so much to learn!

    Regards,
    Linda
