AmandaBS is right about Ipswich – we have just settled on a house in Raceview – a suburb of Ipswich. Before making an offer on this house we had trouble finding properties to view. Those listed on the net were under contract the day after appearing on the net & others were selling as fast as they were listed.

We found there were still a few houses under $250k but of those we looked at the were old & tired. We ended up spending
 $270k & got (we believe) a better quality house in a much better position.

We quickly learned our first question at open houses was "is the property still available?" as most were already under contract by the time the advertised open house came round.
