    Hi,

It is important when getting in the US market to look at areas that have long-term growth. Florida, which was hit hard, is bouncing back and lots of potential. We deal with Orlando, FL and there are some good buys out there at present.

If you want tax advice, check out the US Embassy website – it has a list of professionals.

    Hi,

I believe there are a number of places to invest in the US. I think that both Orlando, FL and Atlanta, Georgia have good long term prospects. I myself have invested in Florida and am happy with the returns and long term potential. Like anything, it is important to do research and like anything, location is key.

    Regards.

    Hello,

Yes, there are many issues in the US – but compared to the cost of doing business here – it can be a good option for Aussies. Stamp duty alone here can be around $25K – that is half of a townhouse or maybe a condo in the US. Call me if you want to know some information.

    Regards,

    Steve

    Hello,

You can either use HSBC to set up or if over in the US – try Bank of America, Citibank etc. Ozforex are good on the transfer as their rates are usually much better.

    Hello,

Yes, it is important to do due diligence but the time to go is now. The US property market is low and our dollar is high – prices here are very high and in the US you can get discounts on properties of around 60%. It is important to deal with companies that know what they are doing and can manage them as well. I have my own property there and am expanding – the returns are good and obviously cash flow positive.

So, if you wish to know more, and not get pushed into things, please contact me.

    Regards,

    Steve

    Hello,

Yes well done. The US is a great place to invest in at the moment with a lot of great prices. You need to know how to set things up and go to the right places. Research is important.

    Hello Bronwyn and Michael,

My company also does US property – Florida only. We like to concentrate on Orlando, as prices are good, properties are fairly new and demand for rentals are good. We do not pressure people. I will be having a foreclosure tour in November if you are interested. Yes, there is a fee, but you get to see the properties and gain insights from professionals on the market there.

    Hello,

I am currently providing foreclosures in Orlando, Florida. Prices are great, but it can take sometime to rent out. I bought a 3-bed townhouse for $65K (Originally $300K) and now rented out for $800 per month. I love Orlando due to nice weather, no state income tax and all the attractions eg Universal Studio.

The process of buying in the US is straightforward and I believe Florida is a good long term bet.

    Hi,

It is best to do a lot of research before stepping into any market.  Look at http://www.zillow.com for a start.  I purchase properties in Florida due to the great value at present – foreclosurees only.  We have access to condos, townhouses and houses.  Happy to discuss over the phone.

Have a look also at books like 'foreclusres for dummies' and here is a a great site – http://www.ziprealty.com.

    Hello,

Yes, I believe investing in the US is a great opportunity.  I have a company – USA Dream House – that is focussed on helping people buy in Florida, one of the premier states in the US.  Prices are excellent – we recently bought a 3-bedroom townhouse, 4 years old, for $65K – includes access to a swimming pool, gym and home theatre.

We have a team on the ground to find the right properties based on your requirements.  We have acccountants in Australia that can help with US tax, insurance brokers, property managers and other professionals to help through the process.

For those interested in places like Orlando and Tampa, some of the best places to live in the US – contact us now!
