3-Consider Ok the noth part.
4-Forget the south part.Sincerely
Hi Carleneg
I have been their last week as my father in law unfortunately died.
As i said, my wife's family live both in Calabria and Basilicata.
In Calabria from Praya A Mar to Scalea and in Maratea for the basilicata part.
Calabria becomes dangerous when you pass Cosenza. There are villages i could
visit in the Calabrian mountains (really beautiful by the way) because my wife's familly know people there.
However, we had to call before going and describe the car we would come with to avoid having troubles.
Most people don't know how it really work's there. Talking about investment, yes the prices are very attractive and
depending on the part of Calabria you invest in, it can be interresting. The most popular places in summer are on the
mediteranean cost. May people from Napoli comes down for holidays but it is dead in winter. I will be there again inApril, I can look around for "reliable" property provider if someone is interrested.Sincerely
Hi,
As i indicate in another post, i am French living in Spain.
Buying in France brings a lot of taxes. No use for rentability.
if it is for rent, the law doesn't allow you to evict someone in winter
unless you rent with furniture. Their is only 1 or 2 good renting sectors.Sincerely
Hi,
I am French and my wife Calabrian. I live in Spain balearic islands.
Investing in Calabria is extremely dangerous. The n'drangetta manipulates everything there.
The nerest area without any mafia is basilicata. Lovely but very poor about infrastructures.
The nerest airport (Althought never finished) is in Scalea (Calabria). The EU subventionned money
that should have been used to finish the airport has infortunately deseapared.
