Thanks for the link…I’ll transpose it to ‘useful links’ post, as this site is booming with the new numbers of posts and I;m finding it hard to locate all the new links..
Missing my Sunday cuddles already!
I would be interested Nessie in your advice. Leigh, post will stay open, can’t see why it shouldn’t?
I think I’ve opened another spot where we could benefit from advice. I’m actually doing research about this at the present. I will share what I find, but you might have to wait a couple, because I have both my son’s with me (a handful, but a real joy…uummm…ask me at the end of the day whether I survived this Thursday []).
Nessie, we should get together for herbal tea, we will chat on icq. I’ve already authorized you [8D]
Pyrethrine works well… I used a flea bomb… Make sure de wifey stays away… not good for childbearing women to breath in dust fumes.. (there’s a little midwifery tip..)
and http://www.planware.org especially this page… http://www.planware.org/cashshareware.htm
I haven’t however had too much time to get into depth with it.
If you like it let me know, I was a bit hessitant to post this one. However there have been many posts asking about this software or the other and since I don’t know too much about all the different types of software available, I thought someone in the know, might be able to find this site interesting or helpful.
Just to fill you in. The business that went under was my son’s thursday and friday school. They also had two properties on contract which they paid deposits for, hence this origianl post.
Plus they had just purchased new toys, equipment for the school. All gone []
All the parents were kept in the dark and the first I knew of it was when a sister of one of Phillip’s friends rang to ask if I had her brother at my house… Then she told me the school was shut…
Then the ATO sent in Auditors and the security guards, where there was a huge commotion for the children who arrived at school on Monday 26th May, to find out the locks had been changed and big burley security guards facing 2-4 year olds (kindergarden cop..kinda) with freshly breakfasted faces stained with tears.
So Thursday and Friday’s for the last week and this week (and probably the next) I’ve been doing a balancing act.
There have been a great team of money players who’ve settled the ATO debt and hopefully the school will reopen soon.
My investing goal, is to make enough money for my family to be comfortable and then to be able to support schools and charities (so the above does not happen to innocent children), including establishing a new charity focusing on prevention.
Thanks Brent for answering Leigh’s question about icq. I’ve been scouring some new links to add.. okay I confess…uuhhhummm I’ve been looking at properties too []
Going to watch Star Trek… it helps to put me to sleep []
Looking foward to the spell check on the upgraded site… []
I had fun role playing, but I analized (spell check on wish list []) the situation and thought about my role later. Learning curves and curve balls… Actually I used to pitch great curve balls when I played baseball [:0)] (a while ago now).
I’d like to do some more situations, so Brent, sign me onto the list.
I’ve been enjoying your posts []. I’ll make sure my hubby (Michael, Mike, Moogie) gets to read your post. I’ve been suggesting he negotiate a longer work day (which he does anyway) for one RDO per week. However with the IT industry as it is, and having my brother just loose his job [][][] I’m not sure he’s willing to negotiate for anything… We have children too (2 boys) and it’s easy to stay where you are (Just Over Broke)… What about CAB? Children[?]…Already Broke! [:0)]
Well done Brett! [^]
Cheers
Sooshie []
Ouch..I’m itching just thinking about it! [] I remember picking up two kittens from the side of the road with Moogie, and they were covered in fleas so bad, we couldn’t tell we were cats (except for the meow) until we washed them. Thank the stars, my sons have short hair and haven’t picked up lice yet… UUGHHHH!
By the way, did you buy the property?
I believe that in Vic the and/or nominee clause is still allowed IF you have prior written agreement with the other party (the and/or nominee part). I’d be interested to see if this is different to what I thought.
What about those poor buggers who had AMP shares 12 months ago, fizzling from $17 down to $5? Share market my eye!
Wouldn’t you know, the best places to buy are already being snapped up.
Well, who’s doing the snapping up? Apparently, not the worried readers of this article (ooh, we’ve missed out, poor us, leave the money under the mattress).
Had me in stitches [][][]
I tell you about a true story, a man scared of investing (obviously). He used to go into the streets begging for money. Each day he’d do the same thing. When he died, they found buckets of Dracmas in the closet, under his bed, in the kitchen, in the bathroom…
Maybe, saving it under the matress isn’t such a bad idea after all! I’ll suggest that to all the Major Super funds []
Icq (I seek you) is simillar to instant messanger. Icq is a program you can download that allows you to chat with people when you are online and connected to the internet. There are intranet abilities aswell (if I’m not mistaken). It’s also similar to AIM which Moogie runs.
You can download it at http://www.icq.com try it out and do a search for nickname sooshie icq# 313541953 It doesn’t take very long at all.
When you send me a message (just click in the white box and type, then hit the send button) it’s a good idea to register using your nickname from forum, as currently I’m having to say and “Where do I know you from??” [:0)]
It’s a good idea to configure the settings so that you’re not going to have a list a mile long of would be lover’s [] wanting to meet up with you []. I’ll help you do it if you want. But wouldn’t that be great…to be able to chat online at the same time as reading someone’s post [] There is the option of a 3 way chat to…maybe even more.
Hope this helps…you have my number if you want more info. I’m home now.
The reality is that direct residential property is too hard for major super funds that have hundreds of millions, if not billions, of dollars to invest.
People (I had one tell me yesterday to get out of property) are reading the newspapers who have come out with their tips on the property market, you then have to question What is the real reason for newspapers suggesting that property investing is dropping, house prices are dropping or whatever their propeganda machine spews out?
If Major super funds have big dollars to spend and direct residential property is too difficult, the share market is depressed at present, then how do they stir the pot so that they can make it easier for themselves to spend their money, for less work? By making investors loose confidence in the stratergy they are currently using, i.e. property, and making them turn towards something else to invest in… Anyone want an Ostrich farm [?][:0)] (Just kidding…none on offer here!)

A word of advice: it’s hot property

Another way is to get a DIY video from the library. Although this may not be the best way to get hands on experience. I did a course at Bunnings and it was great.
I agree with Pete (willi), to post it online, might be easier to just make a post here titled ‘flyer’ then have to email everyone. Your offer is a very generous and kind offer. Much appreciated. []
