The tip for today is on Price etc … I’ve noticed a few posts on renters..or lack thereof, so I was wondering how many people who put in these posts have actually read the tip and followed through and clicked to read more and do they give some answers to the question originally placed in the post?

I agree with everyone who said get it removed or towed away (should be a tax deductable item anyway), or get the ‘cash for cars’ people out. Don’t make a ‘Hoo Haa’ out of it and just do what you think is fair under the circumstance. The more you draw attention to it, the more likely you are to get in trouble.
All of you made great points [8D]. This thread obviously needs some fine tuning and then the correct forum place (perhaps this will be easier with the new platform coming soon) and then it might work.
There is a lot to consider, but as the first post mentioned, I was testing the waters. It won’t really work if I’m the only one going to list deals I’ve found in my area, but am not going to use.
Actually, in my local trade, there are at least 3 potentially good deals I’ve found this week.

I posted this a while ago, but since it happened agian, I thought I’d re-mention it. A friend of the family who does property developments in Victoria, saw me and we chatted and he said “Everything I’ve been building has been sold within days of release”. This person has been doing developments for 20 years.

Slow Boy, you made a valid point. In retrospect I should have mentioned the only thing I had to gain from letting people know about that particular property is new neighbours! [:0)]
Investors appear to have a level of a ‘hush hush’ mentality. I guess when your dealing with money and life goals, it stands to reason that many investors would restrict some or all of their information to being paraded on a huge forum with members numbering in the 1000’s.
I just have the mentality, if you can help someone achieve, pass it on. I’d like to believe that others feel the same and in fact there are others at this forum who do just that.
This week (I think it was Friday morning) as I was driving in to work, I heard that people were still borrowing to buy as the interest rates were still low, but the rental yeilds have dropped and that investors were feeling the pinch.
There are still ways to make money in a bear market. I’m not predicting here just surmising. I don’t believe we are in a bear market. The future is anyones guess/opinion.
I guess it comes back to the saying ‘Another man’s trash, is another man’s treasure’.
There will always be deals. It might be harder to find but waiting and watching generally won’t hurt you (and in the mean time prepare for Serendipity… Heard that before people??? []) Mike said (as I’m typing this) that that’s not being proactive. Well, just like with music and dancing, it’s all about the timing. Jumping in when there is no safety net, might not help much.
I believe the media manipulates what we hear for their own purpose. The more interest in what the media says, the more money they make. I beleive their vested interest is in shares moreso than property.

1) Where to go to eat baked beans
2) Where to go to get away from screaming children or babies at arsenic hour
3) Where to catch the best thunder and rain acoustics
4) Where to have your ‘HAM’ radio antenna attatched to. I can just see Mike now “CQDX CQDX this is VK3EMJ, Echo Mike Juliet, CQDX” … [:0)]
5) Where to send your teenagers when they want to practice their drums, trombone, french horn.
For me, you’d be hard pressed to get me up there. I prefer terra firma.
Actually my mother of 8 soon to be 9, is looking for another caravan, she’s already got 2, but it’s getting crowded on the land, this might solve her problem! [:0)]
