Further to your comments, we spoke to some architects today about the block and they convinced us it's really no issue with a well designed home.
It surprised me that one negative opinion created so much doubt in our decision to buy this block of land, especially since our gut instinct was so strong to being with. I've always believed to go with what feels right and this one definitely does, so we're proceeding with the purchase.
