oh yeah, definetly. renting to defence is great.
as someone said. if they dont pay rent. just find out what ship or establishment they are on and write to the commanding officer.
the money would be very short coming. the only downside to this is you would get the young sailor into trouble.

being in the navy for 15 years i can safely tell you what to do.

yes as a defence member we are told to get a “defence clause” written into the contract, just in case we have to move out of the area at short notice. it doesnt happen much these days but it use to happen to me all the time.

everything was done online, and an email sent everymonth confirming rents went in.
i know they are in town, i just cant remember where (near larrakeyah i think).

another one is having a phone booth at the front of your house.
the low income earners used to hang around it, all night.
we went off to telstra and had it removed.
almost immediatly the vandalism in the street stopped

i copped a late settlement once as well, only because the bank wouldnt accept the paperwork after 10 am[confused2]
after that i just put nil in the contract or extend settlement from 6 weeks to 7

business partner stole 500k and spent it at the casino, then sold off all the assets to hide it. i didnt find out for 6 months.
after selling everything i own (houses etc) i’m now minus 74k in debt [cigar]
