Steve!
What a bloody dynamite post. A massive congratulations to you on reaping the rewards of your labour,
and also to you and your wife for your son. I think it's very awe inspiring how you're in a situation to
raise your family in such a wholesome, unique way.
I most definitely agree with not sticking to one person's methods/ideologies, like you said.
Although I'd love to jump into my first IP now, I'm doing a large amount of nation wide research to find
areas that will prove most beneficial to me reaching FF faster. I don't believe it's a case of analysis paralysis, haha.
In saying this, it's not too far over the horizon.
Thanks for your inspiring post.
Seb
Just found a no brainer, SQM Research. Feel like quite the dingus.
Can you guys think of any others?
Fantastic, I'll definitely look at these.
Thanks for the input!
Seb.
Here's an interesting article relating to the reliability of Wikipedia compared to Britannica: http://news.cnet.com/2100-1038_3-5997332.html
But yes, obviously gou want to be checking many sources before keeping areas on the list.
Thanks Jamie & Cjay,
Yes, I've looked throughout the ABS website, and can't find a complete list. It was only the second time I've been
on there, though.
SQM research is also a fantastic resource, except I'm not at that stage of my research yet; still just trying to get a
solid list of town/suburbs/cities with populations next to the name.
Thanks again.
That's incredible. Must have been some pretty well marketed stuff!
I definitely won't be signing up for anything. Have you had any experience with Ironfish?

Yes, in the long run it's a tiny price compared to the long term gain. However, parting with that amount of capital
in the early stages of any financial/education journey is daunting.<moderator: delete language>
Generally speaking, I never try to rationalise humans. Too much brain pain.
I'd be very interested to see what input the 'regulars' have on Barney's development strategy.
I love reading posts like this as my level of education is broad and generally the other users
show just how much goes into planning and execution.
I'll definitely be watching this thread.
All the best, Barney.
Seb.
Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to leave great advice on this thread.
I still feel as if I would benefit greatly from physically sitting down and discussing broad topics
with a mentor. If anyone has any ideas how to make this happen, please leave a comment.
Thanks heaps,
Seb
Thanks for your welcome, Richard.
This forum has definitely been a massive resource to me; So much new information.
In saying that, I'm still hunting for someone to meet up with and chat to. To me, there's nothing
like having lengthy, in depth discussions with a mentor.
Alternatively, if you knew any property groups that meet up around the Sydney area, that'd be awesome.
Cheers,
Seb
Was there supposed to be any content in this message?
Thanks, thecrest,
Yes, I've spent many hour 'lurking'. So much information on this forum.
It's fantastic.
Would you recommend Steve McKnight's titles?
I have attended, and will be attending these seminars in the coming months.
Like you said, they're very frequently pushing a product. However, I find I always find they leave me
feeling inspired, and seeing things from new angles; a pro to being so new to this
form of education.
Cheers mate.
Seb
Thank you very much for your response.
I'm taking everything on board.
I hadn't thought of attending inspections, good thinking! Cheers, mate.
Seb.
Like I said, I'm interested in developing a friendship as well. I've always enjoyed spending time with people more
knowledgeable than myself.
If a person is willing to spend time conversing with me, I'd be more than happy to give back.
Regards,
Seb
At this stage, I'm at a very basic level. I'm learning very broadly, and haven't taken any preference into
any form of strategy.
I've seen some of the responses you have posted on some threads, Shahin. I love how upfront you are, haha.
Regards,
Seb.
I very much appreciate you taking the time to write such a detailed response. I can now see the downside of just having one person
influencing my opinions, behaviours, and inevitably strategies. This forum seems very active, and I'm excited to fill my brain as much
as possible, and have the communities feed back on strategies ect.
I also really resonated with what you said about getting my head around behavioural aspects of PI, not just the knowledge side of things.
Thanks again, Freckle.
