Thanks to all for ideas and suggestions.

Geo, I would love to open up a gym. S’pose Cremin and I could look into the outlay etc etc… Have some friends who recently moved to Gero to that are wanting a “nice” gym to go to.

    I wonder…

Anyone got any ideas how much it would cost to set up a half decent gym?

p.s… Oh yeah! Our loan was approved and we move into our own place soon!!! Can’t wait! Figures aren’t +geared yet, but we have to do some improvements then we’ll run them again…

    Thanks Del,

Its getting OUT of the habit of not doing anything to save money that we’re finding hard. It sounds stupid but when you’ve been scrimping for nearly 6 years, it becomes second nature.

We are trying to get out bike riding more often now both bikes are working. I’ve decided I’m gonna get back into sewing and other crafty stuff as that’s what I enjoy.

plus encourage Cremin to get on with activities he enjoys too. Bugger the cost (well…not totally).

I have to admit, it has been a bit hard making friends in a new town too…

    Cheers
    Steph.

    CHeers Rugby and everyone else.

Been thinking about it all. Just need to sort out our goals physically and socially. It’s a shame there isn’t a good gym in gero we can go to.

    Hmmm…maybe a great business idea…

Looking at buying some anthony robbins stuff for interest.

Will let you know more later.
    Cheers for ideas.

Ha ha ha!! GReat one Geo!!

I have often thought of the same things when writing on the board. Often I ask the kids (9 year olds) the same questions just to see what the come out with. Very amusing responses…

The funniest thing happened at school last week. As a treat being the lst week of term, I bought some really wicked bubble soap and the kids spent ages blowing bubbles with just a straw! They literally spent an hour and a half just blowing bubbles and stuffing around with the mixture! I felt so good after that experience as I love giving the children a situation where they are allowed to be children and just play.

Bugger what people say about them getting older younger, give them situations to be children in and they will behave like children should.. THey will play!

My 2c, totally off topic but hey…

    Hey RussH,
Why don’t you include the youngest one in on some deals. I mean don;t put his name on any paperwork, but show him how its done. He might take a liking to it and run with it. Can’t exactly steal property, well not in a conventional sense…

Good luck with him. He will one day work out what he wants.

    Blackmarlin,
I doubt you would be able to include yourself on the loan if your brother and sister are first home buyers coz it would make it null and void for them. I think that is right. I mean, I filled out the FHOG form the other day and it asked if any party to do with the house has owned a house before and if they did, well then it was no good for the others.

Go and see a mortgage broker and they might be able to give you proper advice that you can act on. They’ll know all the ins and outs of things. Just make sure it is a registered broker.

Sorry my post wasn’t that helpful, but hey….
    Cheers
    Steph.

that family were a barrel of laughs a minute…NOT!!!

I was paid a pitiful £300 a week. AND DONT GO CONVERTING IT COZ ITS EXPENSIVE TO LIVE OVER THERE!!!

I tell you, the job did have its perks from time to time. I got to go to legoland and castles and take the kids to the grandparents place which was this old old old stone house, funnily enough called “Stone House”…. The house had been in the family for over 500 years!! Howzat! Have a look at http://www.stonehouse.co.uk I think. Some cool pics.

Otherwise, it was just funny to see how I would cope with two little ‘uns as I am of the child bearing age….I don’t think I did too badly. One’s now permanently brain damaged and the other has a constant tic where he yells out obscene words… yeah, I think I did alright….

actually I do have some scratch and sniff stickers but we are not allowed to use them for the ideas they put in childrens heads that sniffing things are ok…

Wierd I know but thats the principals perspective. Gotta support that. It’s actually not that strange thinking. Think of how many little souls get hooked on sniffing stuff, but I personally wouldn’t blame a bl**dy scratch and sniff sticker!!

Never did me harm, but I gotta support my boss. She pays me….

    Ok…[baaa]
well it all started last August during the English school holidays. (Remember summer is in August for them…) Well actually it started in July but who cares!

I was nannying two little boys in South London for a fairly wealthy family. Put it this way, I was given £100 a week to spend on these kids and no questions were ever asked where the money went.(Ahem ahem…my pocket…)[ohno2]

The eldest litle boy was six and when I first arrived I noticed one of them had rather bad toilet habits. Ummm…diarreoh all over the toilet.

To cut a long story short, I worked out htis kid was lactose intolerant and I put him on a no dairy food diet. Instantly he was feeling better and…. dum da da dahhh! He had his first solid turd![medieval]

It was so funny when he came out of the toilet with the most shocked face I have EVER seen! He came up to me and said…” I just did a solid poo and guess what?! It was harder than your arm!!!”

(I cocked my eyebrow…)”Excuse me? harder than my arm? What do you mean?”

He replies squezzing the table,”It’s even hrder than this table…”

“Henry, you didn’t touch it did you???”

    “Yup! It was sooooo hard!!”

I tell you what I nearly wet myself with laughter. When cremin picked me up he nearly crashed the car in fits of laughter…

    BUT IT GETS BETTER!!!![lmao]

I left Henry in the bath while I quickly dressed the younger one. When I returned, I found him with his fingers clearly stuck up his bum!
    “Henry, what are you doing?”
“Feeling where my poo comes from.” He said this with a curious look on his face.

Again, Cremin nearly crashed the car on the way home when I told him. I tell you what, it has to be the funniest story about a kid I have experienced… And I’m around kids all the time.

Sorry if it was a little crude for some but I had to share…[ohno][satan]

Anyone else wanna share a gross story?
