Anubis,
you know you can get counselling from other areas than your priest. We went and did Engaged Encounter and it was the best thing we did before we were married. A little on the religious side, but Cremin just disappeared during the service and came back after it.
Costs about two hundred bucks, but well worthwhile because you hear from…[Read more]

The latest drug campaign on telly is interesting in this “DRUGS” debate. It doesn’t even touch on the most addictive drug of all, alcohol. Alcohol is the most commonly used drug in teenagers. It is abused every weekend and children continue to do it.
Being in education myself, I see the gaps in drug education. The biggest gap I see is…[Read more]

Dazzling,
Funny how a charade to you is part of an ancient tradition for a billion Catholics around the world…
Personally, I feel privilleged that I have had the chance to see the process of a change over of a pope. Last time it happened, I was two months old!!!My husband and I got engaged the same day we happen to see Pope John Paul II, so I…[Read more]

Gatsby,
you are dead on the mark but the biggest mistake people make is generalising about churches.Yes some of them are very rich and have lots of money, but there are others which are not as rich. Ie. The Geraldton Diocese covers from Geraldton (420km north of Perth) right up to the Kimberley’s up north of WA.
I think it is the biggest…[Read more]

Interesting article that’s for sure. I wonder how much of it is truth.
Would be interesting to find out for certain the whole kit and caboodle about the businesses…

Well, this certainly is an interesting topic.
Ok, I will try to be objective or is that subjective? hmmm.
I am Catholic, I teach at a Catholic school. I have always been a Catholic, and probably always will be.
However, I am very open to thers opinions and I certainly do not shove my beliefs down others throats and many CAtholics I know don’t…[Read more]
Scremin replied to the topic Indian Phone Calls: How do I Block them? in the forum No Subject 19 years, 8 months ago
A pretty nasty trick.
You can actually tie up the phone for the person you called by just not hanging up your phone.
It is a mean trick as that other person can not ring out or have calls ring in.
There are ways to eventually get them off your line, but it wont stop them from doing it to you repeatedly.
Catch 22.

The way Cremin and I havge renocated our kitchen is rather basic.
Cream laminate cupboards, easy to clean and won’t date, brushed stainless steel handles and neutral coloured splashback.
As for the bathroom, well I see what people say about dark tiles on the floor, but honestly, the dark tiles hide the dirt really well! Plus you can tell when…[Read more]

Dram, you’ve also got that new estate “The Vale” starting. Happened to drive past a few months ago on way back up to Gero, and they were having the opening ceremony and there was only 1 house there. Drove past there a couple of weeks ago and there are now 7 or 8 houses there!!!

Having lived on a main road most of my life, you get used to the noise. It kinda melts into the background and you become oblivious.
I think if people wanted that lifestyle of living near water, there will always be some compromise. Monopoly’s hit the nail on the head. If it doens’t sound good to you, buy a bit back. If it is for a rental, I…[Read more]
