The advice I received for subdividing a block of land into 2 and building a house on one at the same time was a resounding NOOOO. If people know any different I would be most interested as i’d claim in this financial year.

2 i am interested in. 1 is an acreage with new outbuildings designed into single & double self contained dwellings, including managers dwelling, and disabled. has parking, bbqs and trail walks, more of a getaway. I think the only way is to actually encourage, and bite the bullet whilst showing the numbers. That was the only way I convinced my husband. Then we bought another 2 (well I researched and offered and placed the contracts in front of him to sign).

Wilton is quite a pretty area, with established nice homes, no units, no villas, no townhouses, very limited infrastructure, a general store, small garage and real estate. it is close to picton (10 mins), camden (1/2 hr), wollongong (1/2 hr), campbelltown (20 mins). I copped a wopping $2,585 fee from the banks, not to mention my $2,050 fee from a conveyancer, and what can you do, if you’re silly and don’t take notice or have it in writing upfront – they take the money out before you get a chance to disagree. all i can say is beware of banks and conveyancers.
