Look at a magazine like MONEY and they have funds
that have 7% to 8% with no exit fees etc.
but for online banking go for a credit union, AMP,
    or StGeorge DragonDirect.
and also put the funds in the name of a kid or
someone who earns the least (for tax purposes)

How to find a trustworthy Mortgage Broker, who
really finds you the best deal and not the Bank
or Institution that pays the highest commision.

When I was on the Gold Coast, I couldn’t find
    any properties that matched steve’s
    [Rent / 2] * 1000 > house price $
formula. How about others out there? I am sure
there are bargains that are just below fitting
    in with the formula.

I think the banks think they will be positivly
geared and also calculate an annual property
suburb growth rate so that they can justify the
lending amount. Hope that helps Kierra. Welcome
    to the Forum. a Sydney-sider or a Melbourne-er?

Amit, have you got any other True Assests to use
as “collateral” things like collectables, coins,
    antiques, toys etc.
you may be can go into the more advanced IP’s as
you want using these as your basis

ok, sounds good on the surface. Where did you
get all the info from (City Council, the Developer). Have to be careful with things
that may happen in the future. for example in
Sydney a lot of people baught houses in Carlingford
area because they were going to make a train line
Paramatta > Carlingford > Epping, but the Govt
scrathed it off the plan / budget.
