Did not see the show (bathing the baby!) but just had a look at the TT website and saw the two stories(I presume) of the people that saved 5 and 10% off their purchases. The one that saved 5% bought a $400,000 property for $380,000. That hardly constitutes a drop in the market, only a bit of negotiating skill. The other was $26,000 reduction (10%)…[Read more]

You have no idea how much I want to say yes, but I will fess up and say it is not me. I have plenty of video from my trip, so perhaps I will get a shot from the digital images on that. I doubt none will be as spectacular (although there is a good one of me losing a ski).

It was taken at the resort last year though.

    Sorry to be…[Read more]

I must admit I have never pinned you as a ‘follower’. Your comments always seem to be from the heart/mind and not ‘cut and pasted’ from somewhere else.

It is interesting though that there are some people who hang off every word that is said by someone like Jenman . I agree, it is healthy to form your own opinion and I certainly do not hold one…[Read more]

I have done some research into towns such as Mt Barker and Manjimup and was turned off by the higher than normal vacancy rates. Hell – I know the area is beautiful but there seems to be a lack of people wanting to move there.

I would be careful and make sure you do plenty of reseach first.

    Good luck Thaer

It’s an awesome resort. It has a highest lifted point of 12,500 feet and those mtns behind it are about 14,000 feet. Makes you kinda think we live in a flat country (Mt Kosi is 6600ft approx).

And to answer your question melbear, I wish it was me now. I could certainly handle another holiday there.

As I said, I will get a proper shot ASAP.

I know one person (who is quite vocal on these forums) who will be rubbing her hands with glee and saying the mantra ‘I told you so, I told you so’ a few dozen times!!!

Is this guy that popular that he can influence many people or does he just have a loyal following?

I can’t see how the figures add up?

$24,000 per annum is approximately $115 per week per 1 bedroom unit. Maybe you can get it, but I don’t know. I would have thought closer to the $100 a week mark.

I have just spoken to an agent in Parkes who has told me a bit about him. He bought about 30 properties and land about 12 months ago. In fact he used a certain agent in Parkes and gave the agent a car as a thank you. He has also put a couple of noses out of joint in the town as he has been a bit slow settling on a few properties.

    My contact seems…[Read more]

Can you tell me where the properties were in Parkes? I know the area reasonably well and there are some definite good areas and some you do not want to be near.
Most property in Parkes are at the edge of town with most of them are home and land packages

Can you please explain to me why some minor details cannot be posted? I am not asking for towns or even regions. Just an example of what the deals were like. I am in a situation where I have the borrowing capacity to…[Read more]

I posted pretty much the same topic a couple of days ago. I have been given some pointers and made some enquiries. It seems it is close to $850 a square meter for living areas and about $650 for garaging areas. So a 3 bed/2bth/2car townhouse of 170sqm would be about $130,000 – $140,000.

It also depends on many other factors like access to…[Read more]

My bio has most of it down. I am into sports pretty big time but I am concentrating on one at the present. I am a triathlete, so I train pretty hard for that. I guess that is what I do for fun. I also enjoy snow skiing, sailing and watching rugby (who would have guessed?).
