Perhaps Burkes Backyard could get hold of that idea. I will certainly look at it while my $1000 computerised watering system is turned off thanks to Mr Frank Sartor.
I am looking at keeping up the diversification in our portfolio. I have four properties that I am looking at with negotiations going well on one.
two are +ve CF and in regional NSW, one is a block of land next to one of the +ve CF properties (buy and hold with ideas to use both blocks for a development) and the last one is a brand new house which…[Read more]
If you find a property in a booming WA town next week with a 17% return are you saying you wouldn’t buy it?
You should be looking constantly for ‘that deal’. Circumstances change every day for people and just because the market is at the top of it’s cycle does not mean you cannot still find attractive deals. Not every property has a…[Read more]
I work for National Nine News. We report day to day events and we do it as accurately and objectively as we can.
Richmond and Pisces
I do not wish to wage into this war of words between you and Pisces. Nor do I want to berate either of you for your own opinions that you have eloquently remonstrated.
I have a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom unit in New Farm which we bought new about 3 1/2 years ago. It has no views and I am getting $265 a week for it. So with views across to Hamilton it must be worth more than $260.

“…New South Wales Treasurer Michael Egan has seized on those comments to claim Canberra has a secret plan for a national land tax…”
Well I claim that Michael Egan is a useless treasurer – does that mean I am right? Where are the facts? Usual crap reporting by the ABC trying to justify itself as a serious media outlet (and failing…[Read more]
Chan$, I think you will find that to be a furphy. From what I read/hear and understand – all states (and Federal Government) are trying to make housing affordability easier for first home owners.
I would be surprised if;
A) The Federal Goverment would want to put land tax upun land tax (ie. many houses are already subject to land tax already)
I would agree Marisa except after living in Sydney for upteen years, you miss the rat race a bit in Perth. Weird I know but you do.
Hey don’t get me wrong I would move to WA (not necessarily Perth) any day. My other half likes Sydney (and Melbourne actually) for the shopping. There is so much more here.
