I’m in the same boat, se7en! Looking in this area (among others) for PPOR. We could be neighbours! Will be interested in where this thread goes.
se7en,
I like to think that although I have a leaning that I can be objective.
I can understand the arguments for Lib and Lab at a federal level. Equally, I can see negative arguments as well as positive for Bob Carr in NSW. But for the life of me I cannot see why someone would vote for Brogden’s Libs. I’m genuinely curious (no sarcasm) as to why you see Brogden as a better alternative to Carr.
Kay,
How’s that grab you?I suspect the half-pulled-off arm would not grab me too well at all… [blink]
My guess is that you don’t have shares in Gunns?
Kay, obviously the irony of my comment above was too subtle. Let’s say I’m much more likely to tackle a cabbie than I am to wear a Vodafone trackie.
Since now every know about my cloning then I must admitted!Just when I was questioning the value that you add to this forum in your prolific nature, you remind me of the real value.
I challenge anyone else to phrase a sentence like Chan’s authentic one above.
SIS – I can’t believe you’ve come out like that.
I’ve been much more careful so that no-one will know which side of the fence I sit on…[winking]
‘Tis a good read. Someone else posted the link to this earlier today…

Thanks, Wayne, but as much as getting some of your no-doubt-profound insights appeals to me I think I have a better chance of finding +CF property in Chatswood that I have of finding intellectual stimulation. Perhaps this link may be of use:

I agree with Kay. I have an IP in Townsville and it was borderline at the time of purchase and certainly would not be +CF now.
Another post (I think) was asking about Charters Towers. I know that there are still some deals that would work there and it might work for you as you’re only 120km or so away. But I would be sure to do some research into Charters Towers re population, industry etc as it is very different from T’ville.
Excellent article, Ghotib.
Rolf, Charter’s Towers is 800 km from Rockhampton. This is almost like asking a Sydneysider what IP in Melbourne is like.
Wayne, you seriously make no sense.
On one hand you say you hate seeing the way Australia is going and on the other you say that if there is a change of government you’re outta here.
Another case of talking loud and saying nothing.
Kay,
Yeah, I see what you’re saying.
But it just demonstrates the difference between a pro-active accountant (adding value) and a number cruncher. (Which is, I guess, why every third day there’s a post asking whether anyone knows a good accountant!).
[buz2]
Chan? Is that you?!
No doubt he is talking about negative gearing. I even heard this line from my accountant once. (I’m reviewing whether he is STILL my accountant).
…and who wants to admit it?!
Yes, I think that’s the punchline.

Chan$, what do you DO during the day?!
