  • robo replied to the topic Colourbond vs Tile roof in the forum Help Needed! 19 years, 1 month ago

Our new home is 40 sq on one level and c/bond was 4,500 more than cement tiles.
It depends on the style of the house some homes would not suit a tiled roof. One thing with c/bond if you get hail big enough it will pit the steel and it will rust. The last big hail storm in Armidale nearly every c/bond roof in town was replaced, then tiles will…[Read more]

Just out of interest KP if you don’t rent out R/E obviously you don’t own any IP’S? Why not?

  • robo replied to the topic Squatters.. in the forum General Property 19 years, 2 months ago

If its your home and they have no legal right to be there why can’t you just go around and grab them by the scruff of the neck and turf them out? As long as your isurance is up to date.

  • robo replied to the topic Colourbond vs Tile roof in the forum Help Needed! 19 years, 2 months ago

We are doing c/bond on our new ppor, for cost though on our home it was more than tiles, it will depend on the design of the home, c/bond is a better finish it is tied in to the structure of the home and not a dead weight like tiles, we will be having a foil blanket under the iron and R2 bats all through ceilings. Lighter colours are better for…[Read more]

    Hi Nat,
It wouldn’t matter how much money some people have they wouldn’t spend it, scared of losing it. I wonder when i hear stories of millionares who drive around in old bombs and dress like ferrils. Life is too short not too enjoy the fruits of your labour. some people think they will live forever. I used to work with a guy who used to boast…[Read more]

    Hi Gross,
I live in Coffs but am more into houses with land content. The Park Beach and Jetty area is where most of the units action is. Park beach still has a lot of seedy streets, units that were once 30k now 150k, although they are trying to clean the area up with some new unit blocks and t/houses, the Jetty area is more upmarket. I know one…[Read more]

Wow $50,000. That would of went down well. No wonder they get a bad name. My agent had only advertised it for 1 week and he was asking me to think about dropping the price from 245 to 239 and then the offer we accepted was 241. Originally he wanted to list it at 235.
They were first home buyers and got cold feet?

    Hi Elly,
Thanks for the info. The house is 500m west of coffs city, was rented for 240p/w, asking
$249,000. Its not so much saving the agents fee its having control over the sale.

    Hi Sooshie,
I have had 2 honda odysseys, traded the last model on the new one when it came out june 04.Fantstic cars never had a problem. If you are buying new and can afford the xtra 7k go the luxury model, well worth it. Safest too, 10 airbags.

I have decided this much, it will be concrete saltwater with white pebble crete for blue water, put in by a pool builder who does the work himself. We want to make it a feature of our yard as there will be nothing else to look at except colourbond fences.
    Oh well whats another 40k

Maybe it will be the money? Just got 1 quote back, $36,000 for Fibreglass pool with water feature, solar, fence, paving and stamped concrete surround. Lot of money for a whole in the ground with water in it. Which over 20 years is $35 p/w plus say 15p/w for running costs, it will cost $50 p/w week for 20 years?
