Yes I can see what you have gone thro. I have had the same problems starting Jan 2001 with questioning my interigity at all times and pushed into a corner by both my two ACTING suprior officers. Accusations made of my lack of work detail when you are instructed by the CEO to take time off due to excessive hours. A redundancy given without any paper work and asked to think about it at 4.29pm Fri afternoon when you complete the week at 4.30pm Friday. Redeployed the following Tueday at 2 grades lower and $6000 less a year. Given the same duties or had been told some duties are removed and every day you argue that those items are not on my list of duties as of the redeployment. To go thro a number of discipline meetings, and only know they are such when a report comes back from HR headed with Discipline Meeting. A final written warning and when I refused to accept I asked for the first and second warning, none of which exist. Had a performance review by the new Director for the previous 12 months when he had been in the chair 1 week. A poor performance review and no increase in salary even when I had shown I was doing the duties of prior to redundancy. Assaulted at work, lodge a grevience complaint and was investigated by the Local Government Association and I was given the warning . The HR officer was the one who assaulted me and also threatened to knock the block of another staff member at the same time. The report finished up hidden under the carpet. Appointment of another staff member to an advertised position: the one I held prior to redundancy: Management found my application 2 weeks after the other employee’s appointment. Asked if I would withdraw, which I did with a verbal undertaking of having a salary increase. Withdrew and the Director renegged on the arrangements. Had 1 month off on work related stress. Back for 8 weeks and the same health problem. Went off again and lodged a Workers Comp case. Went thro the hoops, drs, pychs assessment, vocational Psychologist the lot. Eventually returned and found I had to catch up with 4 months work left for me.
The Insurance Company rejected the claim as all the problems stemmed from and since redeployment.
Next move—age 61 what chances of a job if I leave. I can either put with the rubbish or try and get a copy of the Psych report with concern to my health and join the John Howard Fishing team. The union not much help. This type of bullying is only too COMMON due to the lack of people skills of Management and the aged employees.
    Yes you have my sympathy

I am in the same boat as many of you, however I have found the owner and written plus rang and not recieved a reply.
The unit is in Perth, the owner is in Sydney. The unit is used as a squat by the druggies and is in a derelict condition. It is in a block of 100 units. Strata Management can enter and also make good at the owners expense under the Strata Act WA. I have asked the owner to consider a cash offer and I fix it up. I supplied the sections of the Act and advised of the approx cost to make good.
Basically I was trying to make it look as being a “too hard” situation for the interstate owner and I would take it off his hands. The unit is on the ground floor and everyone walks past it to enter the complex. Not good for my investment
Any suggestions on how to get some movement from the owner?

Good tenants/bad tenants. The last one I had: seeing is believing. Wanted to rent as they were in a caravan park.
Paid everything on time for the first 5 weeks, however every week there was a phone call about something. First the WC was starting to block up and wanted something done asap-Sunday night at 10pm. The WC was playing up for the whole week and they waited until Sunday night. I called an after hours plumber. Next week the sliding door came of the track-tenant advised he wanted approval for someone to repair–Sat night 8.15pm.Carefull instructions on the phone enabled the tenant to slip the door back on the track. Next week they tipped water on the elect stove and blew it up.
A big arguement between each other one night and that was that. No rent payment when due and a check over a week to see what is going on. Eventually thro the Court, the court gave me abandonment rights and away we go again for a tenant.
It took just on 2 months for the paper work for possession and once we did enter, meals half eaten were on the table and the fridge !!!!!.They left all their gear and disappeared never to be seen again. Back to Court next week for costs to be awarded. Some $700 down the drink. Fortunatley I have found enough documentation in the unit to get an order against them on their Centrelink payments. Approx 80 letters for demand payments etc, return to sender. I think it is Karma.
I live some 270km south of Perth which causes some concern for watching over the unit.

    Thanks Steve.

I understand the process thro the Local Government Act in WA regarding properties of non payment of rates. Councils are not too keen on allowing info of non payments of rates to be on a data base for all and sundry.
Certainly by looking thro the local paper for auctions is one way, however there must be another way to find out. That is for me to work out. Once again thanks for the info regarding liens. I do know the Certificate of Title has encumbrances of wharehousemans lien on a property.I have seen them on C/T when I working in that area and the privacy act didn’t allow me to use this info evolved from my work. A Gov employee, a big NO NO
