absolutely kay… I don’t know why answering a query sometimes leads to misconceptions from other posters, but it seems to at times…

rOriginally posted by residentialwealth:Will we have a crash, in my opinion NO, adjustment Yes, the crashes will come from stupid mistakes and no research. Like buying a property from a marketing company, being sucked in at a seminar or thryng to start too high up the ladder when you begin.
couldn’t agree more.
FWIW we’re trying to sell one of our places at the moment, and the market’s bloody quiet (Mornington Peninsula)… mind you, while we won’t be getting the price we first thought, we’ll still be cashing in an enormous amount of tax-free capital gain that’s happened in less than 3 yrs, so I won’t be complaining too much. [biggrin]
It was bought in my wife’s name before we were married… we’ll be paying down debt, getting rid of PPOR mortgage, credit card debt and keeping an eye open for deals…

rHi HotValuer,
The fact most are sold might be indicative of the herd mentality surrounding CF+ at the moment, and nothing else. Cobar NSW also went through a mini-boom, and I would never buy there unless the yields were ridiculously high (my family is from there originally) …

rI think you should all settle down a bit…

r [strum]If Thorpe wasn’t swimming, Hackett would win… who knows, Michael Phelps from the States might take everyone by surprise and get up and take the gold… wouldn’t that be an anti-climax?

rGeorge,
Because while most of the people would no doubt have the best of intentions, there’s always sharks on the lookout for an easy buck.

Jamie. She’s just being a mum SIS, I know what you mean though…

rOriginally posted by DAAJ:… also curious who is giving advise to other property investors whithout actually having one.
Dom[biggrin]I thought so…
ps Monopoly, chill out, the way I read it no one was condemning anybody…

rI believe Acey is in a position where he doesn’t have to work (for anyone else, anyway), since he’s a successful investor and dabbles in a few other projects (at least that’s what time lurking on the somersoft site tells me)…
yes, but I’m wondering what purpose answering this question actually serves… are you doubtful about the credentials of some of the posters?
Hmmm… seem to remember A Current Affair doing a story with Steve on wrapping, describing him as a saviour of Australia’s battlers, helping them into their own homes… of course, none of you would remember that would you, because it destroys your argument in one fell swoop.
If you’re going to debate, acknowledge the black and white in issues… it’s not all one colour.
Just be yourself Celivia… I agree, let’s just keep it simple… for pete’s sake, it’s only a forum…

rRichmond,
So what if the forum is owned by Steve, does this mean we cannot not disagree with him or question him?
Steve is not King Kerry
Seven, if you bothered to read my earlier reply, there are many differing points of view on here, which is a good thing. Bec’s posts that outlined her different points of view, I personally had no problem with. The later ones that were just ranting diatribes against the owner of the site were too much. If you’re going to argue the point, why not take on board and have the manners to read what other people say? I am not saying anywhere that those who don’t toe the line should go… quite the opposite.
r
Seven,
It is a forum owned by Steve. Simple as that.
Cheers
rSeven,
I think you’re a bit off the mark… this ain’t a democracy, and I reckon Steve’s been very patient… perhaps Bec could put up her own “folding stuff” and start her own forum where she can say what she wants.
There are many many voices here who are greatly different to Steve’s, and this forum “is” open to all interested in property investment… but not to those who want to continually indulge in personal attacks.
I back Steve 100% (and no, I’m not a member of any fan club)
Cheers
rsweeping generalisation yack, my man… not all here are after the easy quick fix… I think it’s a bit harsh to be so disparaging.

Read some of my earlier replies on debates about the media and you’ll have no doubts on my thoughts re: Today Tonight and ACA. I don’t cheerlead for ACA just because they’re part of the 9 stable.
re your comment: “When I was working on a local radio station I also noticed that the news varied every 30 minutes for the same incident.” That’s the way news works Bear, it evolves, and new information can constantly come out, which makes things change tack regularly. Look at the death toll in the 9/11 attacks… at first it was thought 30,000 might have been in the buildings when the planes hit… death toll was then put at around 10,000… finished up under 3000…
Also, I wouldn’t use one example of your being at a road accident to imply that journos make things up. The reporter asked you guys what happened didn’t he? Why didn’t you tell him? I know what he means by “join the dots” but I don’t believe a reporter would “make” something up in a regular day to day story like that.
Cheers
rAs Rugbyfan said,
Media Watch is hardly unbiased and should be on a commercial chanel as it is no different to TT or ACA. It twists words into whatever it wants them to say.
He’s spot on, Media Watch is a joke…
Cheers
rIf you saw it on 9, you would have seen the same interview that I just went and watched… what I watched wasn’t edited.
cheers
rYou’re not suggesting I’m not telling the truth are you Bear? Hmmm?
