Thanks for the reply.

Over my many travels through Nicaragua, I can think of two places:
#1 Granada- for those that like a small town and tons of history.
#2 Ometepe Island- very peaceful and relaxing. Plus, the fishing is great.

There are still some great deals there. The prices are lower than Costa Rica. Yet, you are taking a chance with an unstable government and such…
