If Pisces was a psychiatrist, he’d be struck off for such comments.
As for self-appointed Saint Steve McWhiteKnight(“I just want to help people create wealth”), notice how he ducked all the main issues, including his choice of the word ‘millionaire’.
The symptoms being displayed here are the classic signs of the narcissistic personality – and, unlike the opinion of Pisces, that’s coming from a qualified person who viewed this thread.
Watch what happens now. The real issue at the heart of this debate – namely, misleading conduct designed to create wealth for the narcissist – will again be ignored, ridiculed or responded to with meaningless abuse. That’s if it doesn’t get censored by Mr It’s-My-Forum and you’ll play by my rules.
Anything to avoid facing up to the fact that what we have here is a clear case of misleading conduct designed purely to increase the wealth of the person guilty of deception.
It’s tragic that such conduct is only mildly punished in Australia. In the UK, I can tell you now that serious charges would result from this conduct.
As one observer said, “How does he get away with it in Australia? Don’t you have laws down there?”
Makes me feel ashamed. And thanks to those few of you who back me up on this.
Good night

To Steve McKnight
Your arguments in defence of this Millionaire rubbish only make you look ridiculous.
You are wriggling like a worm on a hook, twisting and turning every which way. Definitions, contexts, hypocrisy, conspiracies, innuendo – it’s either incredibly naive of you or, well, I can’t say what else it means. Surely, you must know how this is panning out for you.
If you didn’t want to create the impression that you could make people into REAL millionaires in a year, then why, for heaven’s sake love, did YOU ever choose the word ‘millionaire’ for your Millionaire Apprentice Program?
Why didn’t you just call it Investors Apprentice Program?
I’ll tell you why – because that would not have sold so many of your seminar tickets to others who were duped into believing they could become millionaires. And yes, I know what you are going to say – it’s their own fault if they misunderstood. Read the fine print – it’s the old con trick, Steve.
From reading the Media Watch transcript it is clear that they could have been a lot harder on you. I think you got off very lightly indeed.
To now turn around and make out that the most respected and trusted TV program in your country is misleading people, is, itself, the height of buffoonery.
To call the Media Watch people “hypocrites” makes you look ridiculous.
And I am being kind.
Wake up, Steve. You are making things worse for yourself.
Bec
Golly, look at this. A gal goes away for a few days and misses all the fun in here.
Just read the transcript and saw the clips. Oh dear, how embarrassing. Poor Steve. Just forgot that a millionaire is supposed to mean a million dollars. But, hey, never mind, that David man sounds jealous, that’s all.

P.S. I did have some fun myself. Next time you’re in Paris try the Hotel Voltaire on the Que de Voltaire. Oscar Wilde stayed there. And so did Bec – and, for moi, it was wild without the E. Or maybe with an O.
Oh-oh, that’s enough, don’t wanna get censored. Just feelin’ great, that’s all.
This is where you get to ride in a Lear Jet to a new and swanky resort called Coral Cover. It’s up where that great rum comes from.
That’s right, boys. BUNDABERG!
Ooh, give me a sip and I’m yours.
Bec
P.S. Yeah, how did she know that?!
Hi Michael
I appreciate your polite message. I have a heap on at work right now, so will not be able to give you a reply for a few days. Plus we are going to Paris for Easter, mon ami (just practising).
And, besides, as Steve indicates, if the posts do not further the cause of wrapping they will be edited or deleted. Such Orwellian doctrines are hardly conducive to my writing spirit.
Maybe you might like to send me a private message, so that my comments do not hinder the sales of Steve’s wrap products.
Happy Easter to you
Bec
Great comment Rob. Smart guy, but then you’re in the UK.
Bec
You got it in one with your P.S.!
They have been trying to sell these apartments as far away as Washington and NY. When I was in the BA last year, I couldn’t believe it when I saw their display suites.
Just on a hunch, I got a friend to check the resales of their apartments to see what happened to buyers who had bought from them in the past.
Suggest you do the same. It’ll be a real eye-opener for you.
Cheers
Bec
P.S. And we’re not all “guys” in here, either, especially the smart ones!
You could always flog it off on ebay. The last wrap pack of his that went for auction there sold for around $500, I think.
That’s only an 80 per cent drop in value,<edited>
Just write it off to a learning experience.
Bec
Yes, of course, they are worried. They are so worried that they are frozen with fear. Can’t type.
Read your Tax Acts and you will see that if you on-sell at a profit, then the tax is payable on that profit at the time you “make” the profit.
It’s like invoicing, you are deemed to have received the money you haven’t really received.
Look, I know it may not be fair and it may not be easy, but that’s the way it is in the land down-under.
I have it on good authority that wrappers are going to be targeted (in a BIG way) and that they will be sent huge bills for the taxes they have not paid on profits they have made but not received.
And, where are they going to get the money? Sell other assets (if they have any), borrow on their family homes (if they have any equity left) or go broke.
It’s not pleasant and, as I said, it may not be fair. But it’s fact and, like the scene from Towering Inferno, “it’s outta control and headed your way.”
Baton down the hatches, wrappers, the taxation firestorm is headed your way.
It’s gonna ruin some of those positive cash flow figures, that’s for sure.
Good luck
Bec
P.S. And no shooting the messenger here, please!
There’s a truism in journalism that it’s not news unless someone doesn’t want it reported. Or perhaps, “if it bleeds, it leads”.
The people who criticise the media are often those who know so little about what goes on behind-the-scenes. More often, however, they are those whose own biased views are not being reported the way they want them to be reported.
But, most of all, the media gets its bad name because it reports on bad events and people whose actions have been bad. Of course, all those people disagree, hence every time a news piece appears someone doesn’t like it. Even those who agree with what is being reported may get upset because they want to see more.
Journalism is a noble profession that carries with it a powerful responsibility. All journalists are aware of their social duty, however, they are all under the pressure of deadlines, working at a frantic pace – and yes, they sometimes blunder because they did not have the time to think it through, to polish it, refine it, send it for editing, proofing and finally, turn out that top quality piece that makes them proud. And annoys the hell out of thousands of people. Ah, now, that’s great reporting.
Folks, I know what I am talking about here. I know the personal pain from a terrorist attack, where the shock and horror has numbed me. And yes, it was one of the big ones of this century.
But I had to go on with my work. It was not until two days later, when I was in the shower, that the tears came. At first I did not even realise what was happening to me. I thought it was rage and I suppose it was – tears of rage. How could you do this to my friends? I have supported so many of your causes for so many years. I have written about you, spoken about you and even walked among you, learning your language so that I could be a part of you. And now this, this is what you do to me!
I have to tell you that nothing made me question my values like this event. I felt that maybe I had spent my life being conned by the media and, worse, even being part of that con myself. What is the greatest sin – lying to yourself? Had I been lying to myself all these years?
Yes – and no. It depends from which side I looked at it.
And that, folks, is the problem when you enter into a debate or start a topic such as this – you are all on different sides with different viewpoints, seen from the side on which you stand.
It is well known that there are no war criminals on the losing side – and that the history of the world is written by those who hang the heroes.
There are no easy answers to the complex problems in the world today. And journalists, while most do their best, can often be victims of propaganda, self-deception and the ‘side’ from which they view the problem.
What’s black to one is white to another. As I write this it is day with me and night with you.
Black and white, night and day. It depends where you are at the time.
Let me end with the words of a great writer, Wally Lamb,
“One day, at long last, I stumbled from the dark woods of my own, and my family’s, and my country’s past, holding in my hands these truths: that love grows from the rich loam of forgiveness; that mongrels make good dogs; that the evidence of God exists in the roundness of things.
“This much, at least, I have figured out. I know this much is true.”
That’s all kids – no real estate tonight. Gotta go home. Big night tonight.

Well, how nice to see that I seem to have a fan club – of sorts.
I am not really sure, though, how I can appease you all.
If I were to tell you that I am indeed experienced at investing with a wealth level (in your terms – I measure true wealth in happiness) of several million with a magnificent and safe portfolio and that my record is exemplary (even though I say so myself) you would then scream, ‘Gimme the proof’.
If I said I had no experience you would then say I am not qualified.
So, what to do?
Well, I am flattered and somewhat moved by your messages and I will give some thought to maybe writing you a Bec Essay – one day, if there is sufficient demand.
After all, some of you do seem to enjoy my scribing. And I do love to please.
Right now, I have a heap to do before I go home, my feet are aching and I am immersed in this horrid case of Sheik Ahmed Yassin (but that’s another story).
Love to all the fans (or should that be “love to yous all?)
Bec
P.S. Just got a message that the front page of the Melbourne paper (or is it Sydney?) has a story today (that’s Tuesday) about how property is likely to be in the “doldrums for a decade”. Haven’t had time to check it out, but it sounds right.
Why can’t you admit when you get it wrong, Pello?
You are no match for this gal’s wit, so just bury your bent beak somewhere else.
Bec the Beak Bender
Shouldn’t you be in your nest at this time of night, Mr Pelican?
<<personal taunts not appropriate>>
<edited – [offtopic] Guys you were doing so well[glum2]>
Bec
Excuse me, Mr Pelican, but when it comes to most of the property seminar gurus, the BEST advice anyone could ever receive would be INACTION!!
Trust this gal, she knows what she’s talking about.
Her name is Bec.
<edited – [offtopic] Guys you were doing so well[glum2]>

Ha ha Mr Pelican, got ya again.
Only someone with a beak as big as yours could bite so easily.
You boys are so predictable.
Bec
Excuse me, folks, but there is a question you are perhaps overlooking.
How are people going to keep buying real estate at the higher prices considering that they can’t afford to buy at today’s prices?
By “they” I mean home buyers. The affordability is now at a record low. In short, “they” have run out of money.
It’s all over folks, it’s the time to sell or hold for a few years.
For those who have not bought, it’s the time to watch from the stalls.
It’s going DOWN baby, down. In a tailspin.
Apologies to the Jayhawks for stealing their lines, but, gee, they sing it well.

Mr Pelican
Please do not refer to Mark as a ripper. He has never been involved in wraps.
This man has an honourable profession.
