Helen Tarrant presented a seminar on Commercial Property in Sydney this week. She is a lovely woman with a warm genuine character and has done very well with commercial property over the years. She also sells a commercial property mentoring course, 12 months. Does anybody have experience with Helen or her course?

PropertyGuts replied to the topic Charter Hall long WALE REIT ? in the forum Commercial Property 8 years ago
Err, I think they were once called, Macquarie Office Trust. Listed on the ASX punching along at $1.20 per share, then in 2006 they started purchasing high quality offices in the USA with only 5% yields. GFC hit. Refinancing become a challenge. Properties sold off at way below purchase price. Share price tanked to $0.30. Name change required…[Read more]

Has anybody done the Chris Lang Mentor Program? He’s a commercial property legend, guru and crusty old bloke. I have his book, saw him speak at Steve McKnight conference, and I have been listening to his audio’s, plus there are a few posts on this site about Chris. But the mentor program? Costs? duration? Fellow participants? Value? How old is Chris?

Steve McKnight = honest, transparent, not a speculators approach so he tell you how it is warts and all.
I have talked with a few people, who have actually done the MAP course, they all say – great value $$ spent on property education.
If you want a get rich quick scheme from A to Z, try someone else.PropertyGuts replied to the topic Question for anyone who has gone through the MAP program :) in the forum Help Needed! 9 years, 2 months ago

Has anybody taken up the Commercial Property Cash Flow System by James Dawson. There is a link to him on facebook, though no website. there was a webinar last week, he sells the package for $3000 (Manual, DVDs, CD,s reports, checklists etc). I value education and networking with experienced operators – so I am wondering what the package is like?
PropertyGuts replied to the topic Help on my commercial investment strategy in the forum Commercial Property 9 years, 9 months ago
yes, I would agree – do Steve’s Property Apprenticeship course and get his mentoring too. Then – write yourself a 10 page business plan for what you are going to do – If you have a Uni education this should make perfect sense for you. And… plenty of dud commercial property out there… take care and best wishes. Guts

anybody care to update us with their thoughts about Mackay – have prices and rents stabilised – or are they still sinking…
I agree with Kingyj – “Mackay is well established, has a growing population, is supported by several different industries (mining, sugar, tourism, marine, retail etc), and has strong forecast growth. ”

Anybody care to provide a testimonial about Bob Andersen. Good and the bad. I read he is now offering buy-in to a property development project in Brisbane, new apartments close to city. Punters put up the cash, Bob take a set fee (beauty Bob, no risk for you) and everybody sails off into the sunset rich and happy. Though – his numbers look enticing.
