I have a different view on Thailand.
A foreigner can buy an apartment in his own name as long as the Apartment development is owned by 51% of Thai Nationals or Thai companies.
My experience of Thailand property investment is only good, yet you have to always buy with a good developer and choose the correct investment and you will see good profits.
The region in particular is Pattaya – for me this is one of our most popular regions for property investment as even the rentals and busy.
I hope this helps, but i understand that everybody has a different view
