Go ahead and hope Richmond but, whatever you do, don’t hold your breath.

Even if ‘your’ town is the chosen area it may take who knows how many years for the project to come on stream.

O.K. guys, here is some news at least.

There is a monthly Mappers meeting, in Melbourne.

The interstaters therefore have to make their way to Melbourne for the meeting each month.

At the meeting Steve isn’t really doing any talking.
What basically happens is that the Mappers detail their experiences to each other.

I do believe there will be some stars amongst them. I cannot tell you any more than that as that is all the ‘fly on the wall’ was prepared to tell me. [;)]

One of them has done a fantastic deal, an unbelievable deal actually. I cannot go into details as I don’t think it is up to me to tell. I probably have already said too much at this stage.

    Just be patient.

Are the Dynamic Duo stuck in Timbucktoo, anxiously looking for properties and too busy to look at this thread and therefore missing out on the opportunity to defend their good name by providing their outlook on the issue of introducing an agreement after someone has paid his money ?

Isn’t there someone aware of their identity who can tell them about this thread ?

Gee Bec, after all that doom and gloom talk !!
how can you end your post with the words ‘Cheers’.

Here is what I think :

We will all be told in good time, I am sure.
Of course there will be drop outs just as – of course -there will be people who succeed.

Some of them (if not all?) have started from scratch.
Some may have even have little or no money to start off with.

If one puts the work into the job it is pretty well certain that they WILL find properties, the right kind of properties.

We (including me) with the comfort of our job to mentally support us, are sitting smugly in our armchair, impartiently waiting for the results.

The fact is that it is a process, some people, just starting out need time to find their feet and gather confidence.

I too am curious. But we will all be told in good time I am sure.

It looks to me as if you have been dealing with some f/h’s Chan.

If they really want to do some business it would make sense if they are completely upfront with the conditions.

If they are not then they are wasting your time.

Worse than that, they have now ruined their reputation on this site. So where else can they go ?

If they have no money themselves they have just screwed themselves pretty good.

Even worse, these D/D people by their conduct are also bringing this website, as well as Steve personally, in disrepute.

If the facts are as you state Chan, I would be surprised if the D/D people will be allowed to continue to use the services of this website touting for customers.

I think it started about three months ago and I bet that many will have dropped out already.

Now let us assume that Aussierogue is correct and that they are only available in New Zealand. (which I dispute).

But you are quite right about the ‘lucky’ angle as I have heard it said that ‘The harder I work the luckier I get’.

O.K., no more smart arse remarks, Pisces.

So let us work from the premise that New Zealand is the place to be.

If that is so then why not go there ? Mini even advocates buying sight unseen (though with building inspection advice etc).

However, let us take it one step further. How do we find them here , right under our noses ?

Are we perhaps looking in the wrong place or at the wrong type of property ?

Let us hear some suggestions. Surely I am not the odd man out, the only one who believes in miracles ?

Only the people with closed minds are allowed to disregard this thread. [:o)]

Westan hit the nail right on the head I would say i.e. that cashflow properties are fine if they produce say 15% but if it is just $ 1,000 a year then what will it be the moment the roof needs replacing ?

I really believe that just buying for buying’s sake is ludicrous.

Isn’t it better to buy one Westan type of property (high +ve return) than ten rubbishy ones ?

If anyone’s feelings are hurt I am sorry but the truth must be told.

The only possible objection could be if one were to say that they cannot be found (which isn’t true).

Yeh, a monthly charge mind you, for the rest of your life.

Go and get a free Zone Alarm to get a firewall and subscribe to Norton for virus protection.

Going by many people’s experiences, Bigpond isn’t exactly their first choice – for anything.

    Tut,tut,tut, Rebecca.

Criticising someone is one thing. But to condemn someone based on their initials is rather unfair and irrational.

I would think that you are a lot more dangerous person than Brad Sugars ever will be.

By your own admission you went around with a tape measure during your single days and anything that looked frightening you cut. [}:)]
(Guru Watch – Heritage Financial Group)

As you state that you are happy with your husband he obviously must have passed the inspection test. [:o)]

This is a free world Rebecca and the Brad Sugars of the world can charge anything they like as long as they don’t tell lies in their hype.

It is up to us to pay and attend or not to do so.

Believe me, I would be the first in line to condemn people if they gild the lily and suck people in with lies. Sofar no-one has said so about Brad.

I don’t condemn Brad for charging $ 10 K to attend his roadshow. I am saying ‘read some cheap books first’.

I am also not even condemning Brad about (what appears to be) his clone writing a post in his defense. After all, Chan has set a precedent and cloning is allowed on this site whether we like it or not. [:o)]

Fullout, you said : “The people who attended it said its worth more than 10k cos the got so much out of it.”

There is no doubt that Brad Sugars is clear and co-herent in conveying his ideas.

I agree with Ben however when he says “Even if this guy is genuine I can’t believe that you wouldn’t get more value from reference books and the experience from people on this forum. Keep your 10K and put it towards an Ip when you feel you’ve got the experience.”

Then again, many people are their own worst enemy and
happily fork out big sums of money to have someone hold their hand.

I believe that it is a thankless task trying to protect people from themselves.

If they don’t have the common sense to educate themselves about a particular subject by first reading some readily available and cheaply priced books then by all means let them go and murder their money on expensive seminars.

    >>I have 3 friends that manage their own properties and they have no prob’s, they tell me it’s a cinch.
    Anyone else got opinions<<

    One swallow doesn’t make summer.
Three swallows friends don’t make summer.

I suggest you don’t ask any more of your friends for their experience in managing their properties as otherwise you may spoil the record [;)]

    >>I dont think my accountant is working for me, I have to push issues!<<

Elves, your accountant appears to be taking you for a ride.

He is probably frightened that he may draw attention to himself and thus get victimised by the taxation department.

He forgets that his job is to represents you, do the best legally possible for the client.

He is taking your money under false pretences.
He is a mouse. Get rid of him and look for someone who is pro-active.

    Ah, now we know.

The reason S.I.S. chooses to buy in the Brisbane area is to have a reason to get some tax deductable trips to see his family. [:o)]
