Good advice so far. I'm a family lawyer and time after time after time, I have clients telling me their regrets at not stopping their partner from taking on more debt during the relationship. Problem comes later on (if you do split up…hope not though), and it is difficult to point the finger at the other and say that HE got you into debt etc etc. Problem can be that the Court may see the increase in debt during the relationship as something to which you consented to at the time , because of the fact that you didnt stop it when you could !! NOW is your opportunity to make an informed decision – not a 'heart' decision. Also, Guarantors should ONLY ONLY EVER agree to be Guarantor if they are totally prepared for the worst case scenario, that is, to pay the other persons debt it full. GO WITH YOUR INSTINCT!!!!!
So so so so glad that we decided to bite the bullet and go to this conference. My husband & I learned so much, were inspired and motivated to create something for our future. We took 3 days off after the conference to clear our heads before heading back to work today, and we couldnt wait to get home to read through our notes and look at the resources that we bought. As for the price for the conference + airfares + hotel. + resources….well it was worth every cent. In fact, I would say that the total cost of the whole trip will be paid for simply by my increased productivity at work and billing clients, let alone the money we intend to make on our first deal. We will go next year too-absolutely. WELL DONE TEAM. We have been inspired, blessed and motivated to find out our WHY and start moving towards our goals. Thank you thank you thank you. See you at RESULTS.
Hi there.
In Qld, unfortunately, you and your partner won’t be eligible for the FHOG unless you live in the property as a PPOR and then to make it worse……you can’t get it later for a PPOR as you would have already purchased a property!!If this is your sisters first home and she will be living in it, then she will be okay. If you want to read up about all the details then go to http://www.osr.qld.gov.au/fhog/first-home-owner-grant/index.shtml and read all about it.if you arent in Qld, then there should be a similar site for each state.Good luck,PaulineMMost conveyancers/solicitors would be unlikely to do searches prior to going unconditional as if the contract falls over due to finance, building inspection or other special condition, then the purchaser rarely wants to get a bill for searches that have been carried out. If you as purchaser, want the searches carried out prior to going unconditional, then it is best to :
1, TELL YOUR CONVEYANCER TO START SEARCHES and2. PAY THEM THE $$$ SO THEY WONT BE OUT OF POCKET IF THE CONTRACT FALLS OVERYes please!!!!
When did you last agree to the extension and the new terms? if you agreed to extend to this Friday, then you have an obligation to stick with that. The opportunity to agree to extend again (if they ask) is your chance to agree to the extension conditionally upon them paying the default interest (currentl 12.5% in Qld). Problem is that if they dont agree, then the contract could then fall over. Probably not likely, but something you need to discuss with your solicitor. Good luck.
