Hi Richard,

Can you explain what you mean by "A lot of lenders offer the criteria you are after but whether you meet their lending criteria is a different matter."

I do have a deposit and secure employment.

I apologize for not giving all the details in my first post. I am developing/learning with each comment I make and every post I read here.

Hi Richard or anyone reading,

I'm in the researching stage of my property purchase. So far I've arrived at a list of the following things that I want in my mortgage:

• free extra repayments
• P+I
• fortnightly or weekly repayments
• offset account
• fixed rate
• ability to make lump sum payments without penalty.

The list may be naive but I welcome any suggestions.
