Hi WorldInvestor, you’ve made great comments and thank you for sharing.
You wrote, “Not sure whether investors have also considered setting up loans against properties. I arranged this with my lawyer in Atlanta, as I do not plan to pay any tax in US.”
Would you please tell me the process as to how you went about setting up loans against the properties? I intend to pay for the properties with cash funds – do you simply place a lien on each property?
If you are aware of any websites with useful information on placing liens on properties, would you please let me know (of course, I’ll Google and search for the information, but if you know of some useful links or literature, it would help).
Thank you
Hi WorldInvestor, thanks for providing an update and I have enjoyed reading your posts on your adventures in Atlanta. I’m glad you are pleased with how well your properties are performing.
Another investor has given me the name of his accountant (based in Atlanta) and I’m wondering if you know of any investors who have worked with him. Would you please send me a private message and I’ll reply to you and you are not receiving private messages? I’m looking to speak to an accountant who is based in Atlanta.
Thank you.
There is a poster called ‘ActToday’ is who is licensed agent and property manager in Fort Myers. Tripti, I’ll send you a PM with her details.
Hi Mihovi, you have written an interesting post. Like World Investor, I too would like to hear your views on Atlanta.
Any thoughts?
Great comments, and nice spelling, Jay
Hi Cck734, welcome to the forum.
I lived in Hong Kong as an Aussie expatriate for most of the last decade so I have some understanding of your background. I definitely miss working and paying taxes in the country’s low tax regime.
I’m happy to share with my experiences with you, my observations and the research I have done (the US different cities to invest, buyers agents, general due diligence and so forth). Do send me a private message, as your profile is not able to receive private messages (you may wish to change this setting).
There are some people on the forum who have written some great posts.
If you’ve interested in California, perhaps you could contact JayHinrichs of True Wholesale Houses. He writes a lot on this forum and his company offers a good product to investors.
All the best.
Lawsjs, you and Emma did very well in your interviews. Well done!
Hi Engelo
A book that has been recommended to me is “The Unofficial Guide to Real Estate Investing” by Martin Stone and Spencer Strauss. It has a lot of positive reviews on Amazon.

Property Scout, thank you for sharing the information.
I would like to have a chat to you about your experiences and have some questions for you, however, your profile states you are ‘not accepting emails’. Would you please send me a private message?
Thank you.
