There is a dramatic shortage of property in Australia that is leading to rising rents. There are a number of reasons this has happened however the main reason is that this is the tightest finance market I have seen in a long time. This is the hardest finance market I have seen in 20 year. By the time you have to settle the market should be a lot better. You should wait until you are closer to settlement. What the worst thing that could happen your properties might go up further in value.

Also do not buy properties just because they are cheap. It is important to look at the area you are buying in. Look at what the unemployment levels are like? Is the city growing or loosing population?
