Hi,

Make sure you have no credit cards when you apply for the loan. Banks are interested in your credit limit, not whether there is any money outstanding or not.

I barely managed to get a $300,000 loan on the same income as yours because I had a $25k credit limit on a card.

45 minutes away from the airport in the middle of the night maybe .. not when there are other cars on the road tho

Reading the posts above Steve talks about using debt to fund lifestyle .. that was me in a nutshell.

It looks like I'm going to have to start with the fundamentals – I don't know who my target market is (whoever pays me the largest sum of money) or what they like. Would it be worthwhile speaking to a real estate agent? They would know who buys and who rents in my area.
