Hi Mizeen , check out a fb group called young kiwis in property there is also a forum run dedicated to young invested called youngkiwisinproperty.co.nz or .com i forget. Im also from the bay but living in brizzy but know the areas like the back of my hand.
Also make sure to get in early as parking can sometimes be difficult!
Bit hard to actually post a new forum topic took too long to find. A link at the top of the page would be easier.
For all those coming please try and get in early allows for the speaker to enlighten us and also some networking and a drink or two! Look forward to seeing a bumper crowd.
Yes I have done it and was the first to comllete it . I was at a very beginners level when I started it and it gave me a brilliant base to build on . In saying that I have meet a lot of people also doing it at much higher levels of investing who found it really useful as well . Several students have subsequently given up there 9-5 jobs and are using the tools from the course to invest full time .
Have just secured another guest speaker who is going to be talking about mindset and a few tips on the road he took to gain financial freedom! Looks to be a cracker night!
Get in touch with Kyron Gosse either via youngkiwisinproperty.com or via facebook/twitter he is heavily investing in the Auckland area and doing well. I am sure he can put you in the right direction .

Hey D Mac I can vouch for Steve Mcknights Cert 4 as I have completed the course. It is well structured and really gives you the fundamentals to not make the mistakes that most people do. Again not a free lunch but worth a look. Good luck

Awesome thread ! Happy new years everyone.
My goals are:
1) Complete 4 buy-reno-sells using other peoples money
2) Further grow the young property investors brisbane group with blogs, vlogs, twitter, meetups, social meetups
3) Begin development of a rehab course that can be taught to health professionals around the world.
4) Increase my knowledge around subdivisions ( for later in the year in conjunction with the new BCC plan) and developments to increase my sophistication around this for the following years investing.
5) Reproduce enough of my income from property so that I can take some drawings (while still increasing my investing captial) to decrease my working hours to 20 hours a week by the end of the year.
I hope everyone has a successful new year!
http://realestatetalk.com.au/ has a few you can download give it a look.
Hey guys just wondering if you have a room that slopes from approx 3m+ down to 2.3m approx haven't measured it may be 2.4 but will say for arguments sakes its under the 2.4m height. Does it require all areas to be over 2.4m or are there any allowances for slopes roofs.
Thanks
Hey terryw, All the finance will be via the money partner. I was meaning going conditional in my name does that still allow me to go unconditional in his name? Or should I just get him to put the offer in? Any advice would be great.
Thanks a lot Jane!
Hey Richard,
That was just stolen out of the back of those property mags with median house price , 3 month growth etc . I myself wouldn't be rushing into those suburbs either for growth . Cmoore holding for 5-10 years is very vague. Would a set growth % return be better. Having sound exit strategies and making sure your money is working the hardest it can for you I think will benefit you better in the long run. I would much rather have brought and sold 5 targeted properties over 10 years then buying/holding and not getting the best returns you could. Just some food for thought.
