They are still around, you just have to be a little creative in where you look for them.

Look for migrating populations on the upswing.

You can even occassionally find them in major cities though not often.

Would depend on how expensive the personal debt is, its amount and how much capital gain and income the property would make.

Is there a group in Sydney that plays? I might be up for it if anyone was doing it already.

Good luck with the venture. Are you going to be doing things online as well as offline?

There are lies, damn lies and statistics.

And the debate between property and shares isn't likely to be resolved tonight! ;)

In essense, you just have to pick one, learn about it and do it.

I think Terry's comments very much depend on which part of Paramatta you're talking about. Yep, there are some problem areas, but there are also some very well-to-do families out there, not to mention growing business presense.

Love to hear some followup to your story, Jamie. Good luck with it.

    Thanks for that.

Those sites seem a little lame. I mean, it looks like they are basically ransoming the property information in an attempt to force you to buy through them.

One costs $500 per year, but then another 2% of the property price.

The other looks basically the same – ie. a lead generation website for a propery broker who presumably also takes a cut.

    Maybe I am missing something..
