I reccomend Oak Park. Beautiful area, nice and peaceful. You could find a home within your price range, about 25-30 from the city by train and has a fairly good public school, Strathmore. This is one station up from Oak park so your kids can take the train or its close enough to drop them off. You might even be able to get a house in Strathmore, but I cant reccomend it as I dont know much about the area and It might be a little over your price range.
Yea, but you also have to factor in PM costs. Even without them the net weekly return is nowhere near $50. What kind of rent would Steve have been getting per property? Then again morgage rates probably would’ve been lower..
Can anyone hook me up with a nice detailed map of his city?
Thanks for the replies so far. I cant actually go the the properties physically as I live in Aus, and ill be investing in NZ
Keep them coming…
No worries Trisha

Does anyone have any good link to sites explaining the whole trust system and how it works. It seems VERY complicated and i would like to learn more. Cheers,
MikeSo whats the difference between setting up a Australian and New Zealand Trust. Sorry for all the questions, I’m just very curious.
What is the structure most people use when investing? Also, can I get an accountant situated in Australia even though Ill be investing in NZ?
When buying a home, what comes first? The loan or the house. Do you first find the house and then arrange finance, or do we get finance first? Wan we get a loan and just keep it in the bank with no interest repayments untill we actually take it out to buy?
What are the soliciter and accountant costs. If I invest in NZ, would I need to get a NZ accountant and soliciter? I am assuming so.
Again, if anyone would like to share some links i would appreciate it. Thanks again,
MikeThanks for the info geo, much appreciated
Would my dad have to become a partner to be used as security? Or is there some other way? Sorry if the question is confusing.
