The lady I bought a vending business from has since bought a Action International franchise. She seemed quite pleased with it when I spoke to her – I think she’d only been running it for a couple of months. I should chase her up as she’s got some of my tapesets – and should check out if she’s still involved.

Muppet, I saw the doctor today, and she thought I was quite well, so that can’t be it [:)]

SIS, we’ve got the error ever since we installed ZoneAlarm. When I asked my friend about it (the one who built the computer for us), he said that you have to turn ZoneAlarm off to view ebay as the cookies don’t get through or something.

So that’s why I thought I’d throw it out there to you guys to see if you knew any way around it.

    Whaddya think Chan$? I like Dogbert…..

If there’s another picture of a puppy dog or bear (other than the one Grizzly Bear has nabbed) let me know. I couldn’t be bothered going through the thousands of them.

OK guys, organise a meeting for next weekend and I will come up. SIS told me he would be away all of this month, so I hadn’t really planned anything before. If he’s now going to be here, I’ll come up and meet up with you all.

Yep, SIS, I’ve seen lots more of all those smilies!!![offtopic]

Sorry guys, not enough notice for this weekend. I’ve got to dog/house sit, and a birthday party tomorrow night. Organise something for next weekend and I’ll come up.

Chan$, I think the valuation only works if you live in it then move out.

For the renting first, then moving in, I believe the CGT is calculated on a pro rata basis of time lived in vs investment.

ie if you live for 1 year, but rented for 3 beforehand, you pay 3/4 CGT.

Agreed with kaloni, my PC-Cilin is set for real time, and kicks in every time my email program looks for emails.

It’s found a couple of viruses that way, which is certainly handy.

breaking out, are you confusing the 11 second solution (Steve’s) with a 30 second solution that you’ve been posting?

Have you looked at buying through an entity other than yourself? That may be a way around it.

Maybe Harry will just keep raising his prices – course they will go up then. Problem is, maybe nobody will buy them!![satan]

Harry could then afford to hold them and rent them all out – I don’t think he actually finances his developments, so wouldn’t need to pay the banks back their money.

    Hey Kay

Yeah, I’m gonna get me a picture, but I want to catch up on all the postings I haven’t read before I actually log in again. I like to work on the ‘active topics’ bar, from last login, and if I do that now and don’t read them all it will mess it up.

Besides, I’ve gotta make sure mine is unique. I saw that Grizzly Bear took the Bear, so I’ll have to have a sticky and see what options there are!![cap][confused2][comp][cigar][buz2]

the conversation that happened between the lady and the owners – was it about the price or the contents of the package?

Bruce Whiting set up this company. He is John Burley, Dolf de Roos and Robert Kiyosaki’s accountant in Aust, so I guess he must know what he’s talking about.

I would assume that that would flow down to the rest of the people also. He knows about wraps, investing in NZ, etc. etc. Not sure on their knowledge on shares though..

    Cheers
