personally what I don't like about new apartments is the strata fees. it eats up alot of your rental income profits

while you are interstate, i suppose you are planning to rent there, rather than purcahse another PPOR.. your changing circumstances can affect how your previous PPOR will be treated

personally, i haven't found new homes or units that are positively cash flow… i tend to find CF+ for existing homes and units

i love positively geared property… they put money into your pocket – not take money from it =)

Those are my ideal investments.. i also agree with thinking about it as a business. the name of the game is to make money!

i also agree that they are over-hyping it… if anything, it may make investing better for you if you research yoru properties right to find dicounted deals that are profitable

agree that singapore is a very tiny country.

Since apartments are probably what foreigners like Aussies are going to buy, just wanted to know if Singapore apartments tend to have strata title on them?

i think you're probably better off with more cosmetic renovations – alot of buyers and renters base decisions on what they see and their emotional feelings about that…

i think you should also consider the demand for houses with solar panels in your area…

yeah i also think that there could've been a better way to go about it.. but not sure what other alternative the government could have had… what else could they have done instead?

Renos seem to be the big thing right now, adn i'd also like to find out more about it.
but i'd also like to know if the complete reno system is worth it.. the price of it is quite high!

i also just use excel – just use simple formulas, and you can easily adapt the spreadheet to how you want it to look
