Why are you so negative all the time?

I totally agree with you about the risk of the down dying etc.. But it just seems so hard to achieve quality yields if you don’t go near these towns.

I agree with mortgage advisor. I live at home, have no property, just getting started, not a developer, builder, or author. However does this mean i am not welcome here? The internet is about spreading knowlege. Yes people can look up archives, but by the same token, first time posters feel more involved if they actually ask their own questions. Also the information in archives can be out of date. If a person wants to know what area to invest in, and looks this up in the archives, then they will not get proper information.

Hi resi. thanks for the welcome. The reason i didn’t buy a property at 19 is because i graduated froms school at 17, and went straight onto uni. Hence no income. I have had a part time job, but it was literally just enough to get myself a car, and to pay for running costs. My brother on the other hand went straight into the workforce at 18, and now has 10 properties (this occured over 3 years). So it really makes you wonder which way is the right way. Once again thanks for the welcome.

True lawyers make good money. But do i really want to be working all the time? Would much rather be able to travel the world. Unfortunately it does take a while for lawyers to earn good money. Straight out of uni, if you can get a job, they start you only on around 40k.Its all about a 10 year plan.

Anyone else on this forum studing law or already a lawyer? If so where did you study and has it helped your property investing skills? Do you do your own conveyencing etc…

Hey, no just a coincidence i guess. lol. Thankyou for replyling though. Suppose i should give some background information to myself. I caught the property bug 3-4 years ago when my older brother was 19. he was working for a finance company and managed to get a no deposit deal. Being 16 at the time i was shocked that my brother could actually own property. Since then i have tried to educate myself as much as possible, reading many books, seeing dolf deroos last year, attending other seminars. My brother now co-owns a finance company, and my mum writes finace, so the property industry is really in my day to day life. Although i am studying in law, my real passion is for property. Hopefully my sallery from law should be able to finance my addiction for it lol. Don’t graduate for 2 more years though. Anyway i am rambling now. So once again hi to everyone.
