    Kay, thx for replying,
I have been to the CBA, and they will give me a loan, i only gave them some details, and they were offering me a loan over 80%, but i told them i only wanted 80%. I am yet to go in and give them final details to have finance approved. I am getting a part time job this year as well.

Kay, if property investing is my passion, then i see this as enjoying my youth, as well as the other mischief us youngins get up to [;)]. I think i would like to spend the least amount of time in the workforce, and enjoy my investing in property. Its just the goals that I have set myself, and i certainly hope that i achieve them.

Thx for ur help guys [:D]

thx for this guys.. Look.. i would love the idea of owning 6 properties, as suggested by sis and others, the slightest gain in property would increase my portfolio greatly. But as already mentioned having to service these could be costly depending on how the market goes [?]

I would like to go somewhere in between and, say purchase 2-3 properties with 20% deposits. Am i doing the write things.

Guys these replys have been great. It is very much appreciated [:D]

Guys, these replys are very informative, and very much appreciated [:D]

17, yea, i turn 18 in a months time, so i am trying to organise finance approvals now, so that as soon as i found the right property i will be set. I finished school last year, but going to uni this year, to do business.

Haha, i have always been interested in investing, its just that i have now found my real passion. [:)]

Im well aware that getting a loan of more then 80% would require some gurantee, like my parents house or similar which i do not want to do. So i am going to stick to 20% deposit 80% loan.

Pisces133, yes, my grandad gave me the 50k, but you must understand the reason it was givin to me. He knows very how my passion about investing, and the money has given to me for the sole purpose that it was to be used on investment, and education.

That is the reason why I am asking for the help is because that is a large amount of money, and i want it to be used the best way possible. And by asking your advice, and what you would do with the money, gives me that little bit more hindsite to avoid the problems, and be that little bit more succesful.

    Guys the replys are great.

    Cheers
    Matt

Thanks okay Bear, if u r going to get it u might want to look into it very soon, as i think they say u should allow 3 weeks, from application to installation. and if you want that discount then you lodge ur application ASAP. I think its a saving of almost $300 [:O]

    Cheers

    Hey everyone,
I thought i might just clarify all of that stuff on bigpond.

There is two plans, but i only recommend this one..

    The details are as following:
    $69.95/month

Unlimited download speed (meaning it can reach 1mb/s)

Unlimited dowloads (for the first 10Gbs its unlimited speed, but after that its capped to 64kb, but who downloads anymore then 10Gb a month??)

At the moment telstra is doing a special deal.. i think this is until the 31st of Jan.
Free installation, and you get the first two months free. But is important that you check that broadband will work in your area.

For $69.95 a month, with unlimited downloads, thats a great deal.

Redwing, im not sure what you meant by Broadband ethernet.. but telstra now have USB modems.. but even so you can pick up a ethernet card for under $30..

    Hope this helps.

The reason is its called spam, Guru, is becuse it is unwanted emails, ur not suppose to want them, and if u get the spam i get then i am sure u wouldn’t want them, i hope…. [:P]

    Hey bear,
I think you should have a look at this,

    http://whirlpool.net.au/

RodC i noticed u have been to the whirlpool website, im not sure but u may have noticed this.. this is from the whirlpool website.. very tempting to.

    quote:

Telstra has published its new “unlimited*” BigPond pricing.
$69.95 for 10GB on cable, plus unlimited usage at 64Kbit/s speed after that (view)

$86.45 for 10GB on ADSL at 256Kbit/s speed, plus unlimited usage at 64Kbit/s after that (view)

$116.45 for 10GB on ADSL at 512Kbit/s speed, plus unlimited usage at 64Kbit/s after that (view)
Obviously cable has an extreme value advantage here, being 40 times faster than the similarly priced 256Kbit/s ADSL plan. It makes cable incredibly attractive – though of course the downside is that it’s impossible to change providers.

Telstra’s existing capped plans remain (with some negligible price reductions). Why anyone would pay $249.95 for the regular 10GB plan when they could pay $69.95 for the same amount of data is beyond us. However Telstra will reap the profits of customers who aren’t aware of the new unlimited plan and don’t call to change over.

This is a major win for broadband consumers — it’s unlikely that there will be many ISPs offering 3GB plans by the new year.

I think you should serously look into this if you plan on using video conferencing, and downloading a lot.

    Hope this helps.
