Ah just answered some of my own questions with one quick google search [laughing]
“At least one applicant will occupy the home as their principal place of residence for a continuous period of 6 months commencing within 12 months of settlement or completion of construction of the home.”
Cant make use of the FHOG if purchasing thru a company either [glum]

Cool, so it can work well both wasy depending on the area/cost etc of the property.
I thinkt hat atm, Im better off buying an investment property as I can borrow more this way and the houses in our area are way out of our reach atm, and the with the money we would have to spend on an IP would get us somthing somewhere we would not want to live oursleves.
This may be going completly off the topic – not sure if its even *allowed* to be discussed here on the forums [blink]
But Im wanting to use our company to purchase the property thru. If we were going to buy a home for us to live in, can our company buy the property and rent it to us?

Wow I had no idea I could get involved in property investing with only $4000. It definately somthing Im now looking into doing sooner rather than later.
Can I claim the FHBG if im not living in the house though??? hmm might have to go study up on the NSW laws etc.. can anyone sugest any good links on where to start?
How do I begin to have a chance of finding these properties in other states??[blink]
Although I strongly believe in studing up and learning as much as possible before entering into any new venture.I certainly dont want to go in to anything with my eyes closed, blindly trusting someone elses opinion as fact. Im also a big believer in learning from experience, and would like to get into investing soon, so I can learn as much as possible. Nothing like steping out of your comfort zone to really get the learning curve happening [wink]

Dont worry Im hardly go to rush out and *Buy four NAB September at the money Puts and enjoy the ride baby* as i know next to nothing about it and dont really feel like taking a huge risk because Ive done somthing I know nothing about [blink]
The current plan is to add savings to it, as there has been a slight rise in pay, so Im going to utalise that my adding it to my regualar savings amount [thumbsupanim]
I was mainly not wanting to just have it sitting there when it could be doing somtihting more productive. But it looks like so far, its time to employ the good old patience and wait a bit longer till I have more to play with [whistle]
Im very interested in getting into property investing to create a positive cashflow, and am busy, busy, busy buliding my business empire [king]

besides educating yourself, as this is already happening and is already accounted for cash wise, and your already in the process of building a company that will enable you to add to your finaccial freedom as it will be set up to run without you.(hence the present low income [wink] )
