My question is; why did you buy the house in the first place… you see, if you bought old then you wouldn't need to fill it up with new things ….of course there was always the option (?) of renting the new house out for extra cashflow?
Kelly, I will send another email to your hotmail address and we can arrange the finer details for payment. I will also speak with Emy at PI to double check my "guest" can be anyone I nominate.
Does anyone know what I need to do to get all messages? I seem to get the ones I create a topic for but not the ones I join in on, unless I go searching. I have missed quite a few due to not recalling where I have been
I guess that is one way they can control how much income they get from the event. A shame really.
Lifestyledestiny,
I am also interested in purchasing tickets. If Kelly cant sell them onto me (another person selling their tickets) and they are transferable I will buy one. KeyStrategist and I have spoken and we may share these ones or the others??
Perhaps I should have looked into it a lot better. I asked around, got 3 quotes and then negotiated $50 off the price that the cheapest quote gave, but should have tried for $70. I think if I went with fully framed it would have been the cheaper option but the look wouldn't have been what I wanted – I am also looking to make the bathroom appear larger.
I am tempted to leave them as well. I think the skirting boards might add value, at a fraction of the cost, however. REA said that she will likely get people telling her that they want to take $20,000 off the purchase price, due to lino floorcoverings. Some people will want to put their own flooring down and others want to move in with nothing to do. Hard decision, especially since this will be my first reno/sell!
//What drives people to begin property investing? Obviously there is the obvious "increased wealth" … but what does that mean for people? And does anything else come into the equation? Why property? Why now? Do you have any altruistic motives? If you own rental properties, why did you choose this type of investment vehicle? What do you hope to achieve through your property investment?//
I might be able to offer something different?
I started on property investing when a friend of mine gave me tickets to see Steve's seminar last year. At the time, and more so now, I had been feeling like the job I was/am currently doing didn't amount to much and the rewards were hard to see, if and when I did see them. I knew that I had potential in me somewhere and I needed some reason to unleash it. I felt that property would be a challenge, also as I LOVE houses I thought it was the logical step to take. Property investing for me is more a hobby but hopefully in the new year my hobby will prove to be profitable! Basically I need a little self development, a few more challenges and something that I can succeed in and be proud of. Property jumped in front of me and I couldn't knock it back.
Sounds like you want to get your hands on someone who has some money floating around – perhaps you could do the hard yards of the investing work and they can finance the deal – it will mean a profit share but at least you are still in the market.
Property number 6 and all neutrally geared?! Fantastic.
Thanks for this. I only just stumbled across this now. I have been looking at realestateinvestar, btw. Will send you a personal message. Thanks for everything.
JacM – I stumbled apon one of those a couple of months ago. Silly me was just researching the area I want to buy in and didn't get my act together. Someone bought it below market value I see – more than 100k!
D and S – thanks for the extra info. Also good to hear those that have had more experience than myself.
