JaneThanks for your message and your additional thoughts. The article looks good; it echoed again the need for me to get a glass top coffee table instead of a solid one for my smaller formal lounge. Getting my hands on some good art works, without the expense has been hard but I will keep looking. Thanks for the link!
Hey DThanks for your input. I have contacted a colour consultant and interior designer. It will cost $170 for 1.5hrs of her time. I have seen her work before and I think I have confidence she will help ease some of my uncertainity. Just need to know I am doing the right thing.Did you compare the staging company prices to your own time and input…[Read more]
Jamie, thanks for the encouragement. I think that selling my own home will be an enjoyable experience. I will have to read up on a few tricks of the trade perhaps, though.RenoTeam, thanks for the blog. I hadn't considered glass as a tool for staging. Cheers
My question is; why did you buy the house in the first place… you see, if you bought old then you wouldn't need to fill it up with new things ….of course there was always the option (?) of renting the new house out for extra cashflow?
Kelly, I will send another email to your hotmail address and we can arrange the finer details for payment. I will also speak with Emy at PI to double check my "guest" can be anyone I nominate. Thanks again
KellyI will buy the tickets if you want to sell and it is possible for me to hand the other ticket on.KeyStrategistLet me know if you want the other ticket.
Thanks Skipper.Does anyone know what I need to do to get all messages? I seem to get the ones I create a topic for but not the ones I join in on, unless I go searching. I have missed quite a few due to not recalling where I have been Thanks in advance!
KeyStrategist,I guess that is one way they can control how much income they get from the event. A shame really.Lifestyledestiny, I am also interested in purchasing tickets. If Kelly cant sell them onto me (another person selling their tickets) and they are transferable I will buy one. KeyStrategist and I have spoken and we may share these ones or…[Read more]
Hi Kelly, I would be interested in purchasing tickets also. I sent you an email – of course I am only second in line.KeyStrategist, do you want both tickets? CheersMarie
Perhaps I should have looked into it a lot better. I asked around, got 3 quotes and then negotiated $50 off the price that the cheapest quote gave, but should have tried for $70. I think if I went with fully framed it would have been the cheaper option but the look wouldn't have been what I wanted – I am also looking to make the bathroom ap…[Read more]
I am tempted to leave them as well. I think the skirting boards might add value, at a fraction of the cost, however. REA said that she will likely get people telling her that they want to take $20,000 off the purchase price, due to lino floorcoverings. Some people will want to put their own flooring down and others want to move in with nothing to…[Read more]
//What drives people to begin property investing? Obviously there is the obvious "increased wealth" … but what does that mean for people? And does anything else come into the equation? Why property? Why now? Do you have any altruistic motives? If you own rental properties, why did you choose this type of investment vehicle? What do you hope to…[Read more]
Hi DaleI am wondering what kind of return you get for your property over there? Can you offer some basic numbers like purchase price and rental yield, etc.?many thanksMarie
My 1st mistake? Not realising property potential before now.My 2nd mistake?Sitting on my hands waiting for everything to line up before going and doing anything.
CorieSounds like you want to get your hands on someone who has some money floating around – perhaps you could do the hard yards of the investing work and they can finance the deal – it will mean a profit share but at least you are still in the market. Property number 6 and all neutrally geared?! Fantastic.
