AND we lived in fibro Houses and used offcuts of the fibro to make Forts ‘n stuff- we slept on back verandahs- not even closed in. this was ‘sposed to help prevent tuberculosis– a disease from which a grandparent had died– But we just got pneumonia instead LOL.
I own one in Elizabeth Bay — On the water — Sydney—in a building with a lift– but no gym or pool– There are never any vacancies in the building – any “to let” seem to be relet first day— occassionally when one comes up for sale it sells “under the Hammer”
Seriously, though, Has anyone had any experience with Infrastructure Bonds? Macguarie bank had such a Product but the offer has close on 13 May. They appear Tax effective . Anyone know of any offers still available? Thx in advance.
Something to consider- The reason some posters may post few posts is that if they are employed they would consider it theft of their employer’s time to post or be reading this board during working hours.Consequently they are likely to remain “newbies” for a long time. Before a torrent descends- I am self employed. All the best to all investors whether young ,old experienced or inexperienced.
Re your untenanted property in Kalgoolie.–With the continuation of the resources boom there are more mining companies starting up or expanding operations around the area who will require accommodation for staff. You could have a trawl round the ASX site for recent announcements of companies doing projects in the area .then you could send details of your property to rent to them. From memory there used to be relocation companies that specialised in finding staff accommodation for mining companies. (that was in the last mining boom) You could register your details with such organisations. Of course this is the sort of thing any half way efficient P.M should be doing. Good luck
You Can sell a property privately Lianne. I have sold 2 properties– both over $1m houses– (when $1m was worth something in property!!) In both cases I sold for more than the agents had estimated the house to sell for.Your property sounds eminently saleable as it fits the profile of what investors want. I found that I was able to answer any questions buyers had with more knowledge than any agent could bring to the sale. You can have your Solicitor hold the deposit in their trust account as Stakeholder which is reassuring for both vendor and purchaser. Beware that agents can “bad mouth” your property as it may be in competition for their listings .Just appeal to the common sense of a prospective buyer as someone who should be able to assess the house for themselves without an agent getting in the way of of sensible communication. Encouraged by my success my daughters have also listed their p.p of R at Glebe,N.S.W.privately on domain.com as both have recently married and are going to buy separate houses. All the Best.
Thank you all who replied to the point I raised on this thread. Cheers
“Then there is the stamp duty issues if you want to change the title details. It can be done at no cost if inter-family with parents and child but can be extremely difficult.”
I would be grateful if you would explain the above—or point me in the direction of how to achieve this. All the best to Forum members from an infrequent visitor.quote:
