Thank you for the tip. There is not much houses on Company lease at the moment. If I did by a property, how can I get the company to lease it?? Do I just tell them that I have an investment property avaliable to rent?
And is it better to buy on freehold or leasehold?

I’m heading up to Blackwater in a couple of weeks time to have a look around and maybe an investment property.Does any one have any tips of where to buy or where not to buy? Anything I need to watch out for while I’m there?

On this website http://www.propertyoz.com.au/Article/NewsDetail.aspx?p=16&id=4076 it says that there will be 12 units to be developed in back water sometime this year. My concren is that, if I brought an IP in the town and these units gets built I won't be able to rent mine.?? Or should look at this in a positive way and say that it's good that the town is going to boom?
Any thoughts anyone?

I'm still doing my DD on Blackwater as we are wanting to buy an IP there very soon and so far I have to agree with you that the next Moranbah could be Blackwater.

I live in Brissie and will be attending the Mega Conference (like most of the above posts who had to organise child minding I had to organise puppy minding which is costing me $50 plus food a day!) but anyways have never been to Melbourne b4 and just wanted to know how's the weather in May? Will I need to pack my snuggies, coats and gloves? This lady from work told me that it can be 4 seasons in one some days…is that true? Just want to be prepared.

My partner & I also brought our house in 2008. We purchased the property for 345k and still owe $320k!!!
We're thinking of buying our 1st IP but both with low incomes (90k pa) and a massive debt we might have to sell our house and move back at home.

Good news everyone, I just got confirmation today that I'm in the 250K club. I thought I heard Steve said it was the 500k club at the presentation?? Anyway I'll let you know how I go. But good question TLC investment. I wonder how they calculate the $250k mark.

I finished his book earlier this year and thought that the presentation in Brisbane was excellent. I joined his 500k club, well I filled out the form – but not sure if I made it into the first 50 peoples. I assume they would let me know right?
It took a while for me to fill out the form, but I guess I have to invest in my knowledge first, so I'm thinking of $1400 as an investment.
Has anyone joined any of Steve's other club?
