John 10:10The best thing to do is to ask for advice on how YOU can crunch the numbers. There really is no benefit in having someone else do it for you. 2 Reasons.
You won’t REALLY know that it’s worth keeping, becasue you’ll rely on what someone else has told you, and secondly, how do you know what they are saying is worth anything. I’m sure the figures are accurate, but I wouldn’t do ANY transactions until I knew for myslef.
It’s like the old addege> Is in’t better getting someone to teach you to fish, than someon ewho can go and catch you a fish.Just a thought

John 10:10I would be interested in anywhere where there is potential profit to be made. I think in any case it’s up to the individual to do his own due dilligence and make sure that he has satisfied himself that the deal is good.
Interesting topic though.
Good to see some passionate posts

John 10:10Has anyone invested in invergargill recently? What has your house been valued at recently. has it it still increased. I know that house prices and their abilioty to rise and fall according to the market, is still very much determined by where they’re located in the country.
Take Perth for example. While the East Coast was falling, Perth was booming.
There are no doubt town in NZ that will continue to rise based on other factors such as popoluation growth, industry investmenet etc..
I’m looking at Hamilton at the moment.

My parents are the same. They refuse to invest for fear of losing their pension benefits. Free Coffee at Maccas is obviously worth more to them, than a trip to Queenslnd, or a frikin new coffee machine.
Whatever… you can’t change years of thinking in a few monthsBest way to prove investing is smart if through your results.

I don’t know your situation but I can tell you that you probably know, deep inside, what you should do. Often a forum post is receive feedback which either confirms or negates what you know is righht.
The question is.. what do you think you SHOULD do, not what do you want to do

John 10:10Hey guys.
Have been to NZ four times in the last 6 months and although Freedom Air appears cheaper, it’s mucg better travelling with either Emirates or Aerolineas Argentinas.Emirates were doing round trips including taxes SYD-AKL for low $400’s and the service and amenities on board are second to none. Aerolineas Argentinas a re even a little cheaper but you get a 20yo plane and 50yo flight attendants.
Hope this helpsIf you’re flying directly to Hamilton or buying property around there, it may be cheaper flying Freedom, but I always just rent a car at the AKL airport for about $40 a day. Ace Rentals is the cheapest.

John 10:10Hi
I have a small commercial place in NZ (student accommodation) and I couldnt get loss of rent insurance except for Fire, Earthquale and the like. Then insurers will almost never insure against loss of tenant, becasue it may be argued that it is due to circumstances which are avoidable, like bad management, or lack of advertising. etc
Hope this helps

John 10:10Its the same old analogy…you can either find all the reasons NOT to do something, or all the reasons TO do something. Those complaining about the mentoring programme are those who arent participants in it. It’s abit like all the prople who say investing is a waste of time, or we should get real jobs. Truth is these people usually arent investors and don’t understand.
If you want sports advice, see a coach.
If you want accounting advice, see an accountant
If you want real estate advice .. se an agent
If you want advice about investing.. then see an Investment Expert.Being part of the Results programme, doesnt show me how to find deals. It gives me the belief in myself that the deals are out there. And equips me with the knowledge I need to work the deals.
I spent $2200 and have already in 2 months made nearly $300000 in 2 deals. The day with Steve on Sunday was worth the $2000 with what we learnt.
If you want to catch fish, you can ask someone to show you where the fish are and go with them. (But what do you do when they’re not there)…
Or you can pay someone to tell you all about fishing and to teach you how to fish, so you can go out anytime and get your own.You guys who criticize and pick at every detail and how many mentors and how much contact, and how much… etc. YOU JUST DON’T GET IT.
If you did.. you’d be spending your time out looking for deals instead of in front of the friking computer complaining about something you’re not even a part of.
FROM A VERY HAPPY RESULTS participant.
Oh, by the way. Thanks for not joining up.. I probably got your spot!LIVE ABUNDANTLY

John 10:10Don & Liz,
Made an offer on a 10 room boarding house, returning 11%. Needs some work and this can be increase to over 15%. Am waiting on reply from vendor as there are quite a few ‘fun’ clauses in the offer. Will probably have to go back to Hamilton if offer is accepted as Im trying to nail down 80% finance which isn’t easy considering the nature of the property.
Am planning a trip to the south Island near the end of November. Maybe we can catch up for a coffee and share some ideas.
Let me know if you hear of any other good deals and I apprecaite your responsesLuke
Hey to all,
We have a sponsor child through Compassion. A little boy from El Salvador. Compassion are a brilliant organisation and we are happy to be able to in some way help others.
Talking of how far our wealth can go in other countries. Imagine, I have a friend who just returned from Vietnam – on like a missionary trip. She visisted orphanages and met a little girl who was only a day or twop away from death. The doctor told her (and the group she was with) that she ahd a hole in the heart and was close to death. My friend asked how much the operation would cost to fox the hole and he told her (the equivelant) of A$1000. She signed a cheque and the girl’s life was saved. She had an operayion the next day.
Imagine that for the price of a gym membership here in Oz, little kids can literally be saved from death through life saving opeartions.
If I’m in the Investment business – it’s certainly not to buy a new car of house. Once my family is taken care of, I swear that I’m going to use what I have to save these kids and others less fortunate then us.
YOU CANT GIVE AWAY WHAT YOU DONT HAVE! SO IF YOUVE GOT SOME, GIVE IT AWAY. When was the last time you saved a kids life!Sorry to get a little passionate but someone has to!
LukeIm coming in late on this but i know Steve personally and will back his sincerity, honesty, integrity and willingness to help and teach others 1000%.
I don’t need to go into details but the man is a rarity in the Wealth Creation game. I’m personally honored to be associated with him and even if he didn’t have a dime to his name would still call him a good friend.
Happy for any comments but actions speak louder than words and Steve’s actions in all regards of his professional life have been speaking nice and loud!!!
LukeHi all,
Just got back from Europe (France) and there are some serious things going on there – especially re: holiday style accommodation. Again it comes down to management but the POms are renting these places for 1500Euro a week during the 3 month holiday period. If you got an older place and did it up a bit, I’m sure there’s money to be made.(I was in Pays Basque – south West corner of France near Sp[anish border. An amazing part of the world!)
I’d be interested to know your thoughts
LukeCymber
Just moved house so havent been on for a while. Trip was very successful, will go back in a couple of weeks no doubt!
Cheers
LukeDianne,
I did the exact thing you’re talking about. MOst Accountants can do this for you and explain all the benefits
LukeThanks cymber,
I am here at the moment in NZ and have decidied against Tokoroa. There are some great deals in other cities, namely Hawera, Hamilton and Wellington. I dont have time this time to go to the south Island, but I heard Invercargill was great also.
