    Hi Kim,

Is it okay to run food business from home?
cook and sell to neighbours. does one need a license to do that?

    Hi Angels,

Thanks for being so positive and encouraging.

Perhaps, you haven’t experienced doing something for yonks. And for most people, they want a change and that’s normal.

Put it simply, it is easier said that done to give up a job and go into investing.
McKnight doesn’t even encourage that in his book, throwing yourself in the deep end.

For the rest of us, we must muster courage to do things differently, and perhaps, get used to ‘give and take’ mentality.

    111111,

I think u can also get the positively geared postcodes from Residex, $220.

    Might be worth the look.

    Hi all,

It’s great to hear from so many of you.
PLease keep going for those who have not yet mentioned anything.

I’m in IT and I am keen in studying Law.
I’m already 30. I believe I still have the drive. Am I too ambitious?

Also, I want to keep learning about property at the same time, 2 props are certainly not enough.

I think McKnight addressed the psychology issue of an investor very briefly, and almost subtle.

Fear and greed drive us, but not in the most positive way.

We need to overcome them and keep them under control.

Agents give a better guide or you can look at the surrounding rental properties.

Be careful not to charge high rent but something affordable for renters. You can raise it up later.

Speak to a few agents to get an idea.

    Arty,

If there is no category, it is really hard to find the topic last visited, say in 2 weeks time.

The forum works this way: New post and new replies will send them to the top of the list and the rest will just follow.

The topic you are interested in reading may not be there anymore and u have to go through page by page to find it.

Are the information accurate and up-to-date?
Do you have to pay fees to obtain specific details as you would with Residex?

Reside produced a list a of postive cash flow postcodes for $220.
    U reckon it’s good?

I heard of Gladstone’s booming but coming from Sydney, I really have no clue.
    Anyone any hints?

I foten wondered too and tempted to get a commercial property. But I think it is difficult to rent out in commercial offices/shops because the requirements are quite specific.

I was hesitant because I might have a vacant office for a longer time compared to residential, of course the location matters

I used to live in Murdoch in WA.

I’m now in Sydney and so out of touch. What’s the property market like in WA?
