What I learn is that building a business with a viable and profitable system is the way to generate cashflow for buying IPs as well as the quickest way to be rich.

I just wonder…
Do you guys actually work?
Lawry73 replied to the topic Central Coast, Newcastle (NSW) in the forum The Treasure Chest 21 years, 3 months ago
SuperTed,
Cool. I am learning to invest and trade shares. Got myself the Shares magazine to get a feel of the market.
Recently, I attended the Safety in the Market seminar and they are selling a course plus software to educate investors and traders.
Do you think it’s worth the money to do that or just read books on my own?
Lawry73 replied to the topic Central Coast, Newcastle (NSW) in the forum The Treasure Chest 21 years, 3 months ago
SuperTed,
Thanks for the comments.
I had a look at San Remo and it’s a decent sized house. There are offers around $265K for it and yet the vendor rejects it. Good luck to the vendor.
There are run down properties that are around the price range I am looking for and of course, the bargaining…
If it’s there, great. If it’s not, I don’t worry…[Read more]

Hi Mike,
The prices of houses we are only interested in are between $200-250K
We want the land and a decent house, that can be improved.

Brother Steve,
Great book and was really nice to know that you are a practising Christian and the testimonies really shine.
We can do so much to reduce risks and increase wealth but I believe God is teaching us to be good stewards, and use wealth to do good.
Good on ya brother.

Hi all,
I just got back from CC last night and the weekend was aweseome.
The lifestyle there is quite different in general. Laid back I guess.
I had a look at San Remo, Buff Point and Budgewoi and have known a few nice RE agents.
They sent me on a education tour around the area and I must say that has been helpful.I have put myself on the…[Read more]

Jstuart,
There’s always risks involved in any kind of investment. Only you know your own risk tolerance level and we try to minimise risks, that’s the best we can do. We can wipe them out completely.
So before taking on more debt, think about contingency plans or recovery plans.

Lawry73 replied to the topic Central Coast, Newcastle (NSW) in the forum The Treasure Chest 21 years, 3 months ago
Red,
Maybe we can chat about this cos I am going up this Friday…can’t wait.
We look for neglected houses to renovate and if it’s not worth our while, we will not buy it…but no harm looking around.
I think Newcastle will be great too.
Lawry73 replied to the topic Central Coast, Newcastle (NSW) in the forum The Treasure Chest 21 years, 3 months ago
Hey Michael,
thanks for the tip. I really need to look at the local areas on the ground. Can’t get a feel of it via internet.
We do go to CC from time to time but it never occur to us that we can buy IP up there.
Also, we are interested in buying properties to rent out to students in Newcastle.
Any good info to share?Lawry73 replied to the topic Central Coast, Newcastle (NSW) in the forum The Treasure Chest 21 years, 3 months ago
Thanks Michael.
Motivated. Pls email me and I will contact you re: properties in CC.
I will be coming up on Friday morning but will visit some friends first in Gosford/Wyoming.

I am coming up to Central Coast and have narrowed myself some possible targets around the $200K mark. I aim to renovate and rent it out.
What do you think?
Is it still worth looking at Central Coast or Newcastle? How’s the rent like in Central Coast or Berkeley Vale? I am looking at San Remo or Lake Mumnorah? You can email me at…[Read more]
